Hi TBOURLON Of course a re-do is inorder and I to have had a slip up this weekend not happy about it, but there was some (stress) that I had stayed away from for a while, but then had to deal with. But that put me over, but like is said (To day is a new day!) I know I try to acy like all is ok, but sometimes, not so much. But today I am trying to come back. So the best to both of us, and if I can help, (or push) you, just let me know! here for you!

Oh, MAN I need to re-start this challenge! No, I didn't do well, the "triggers" (or my own worst enemy - ME!) got the best of me. I always blame Chocolate, there's no specific "time" as such; although afternoons seem to be the worst. Normally I don't eat after dinner, because yes if I start snacking on sweets/chocolate it's harder to stop. Hm, specific triggers - stress? Boredom??? Probably.

Flavored decaf coffee with some unsweetened almond milk or fav tea saves me when that afternoon craving hits. Driving home was a huge trigger (drive thru habit) so I started playing my guided meditations on way home from work. Took some time, but out of that reactive, stress eating.

Yes..like PKBOO3 says...the time of day. Like her I "need" a sugar treat at work but I can handle that one cuz I'm stuck with what I bring..but at night...I start feeling I need a treat and it's all right here. Have to really talk to myself...

Shamu, once we are aware of the trigger that wonderful attitude is the motivation to rise to the challenge and make new habits for ourselves. THANKS!

That's a start to find your triggers. Mine are stress, yah mostly stress. But from there now you know what sets yours off, now when you see, or feel it coming work on stopping it. Yes I know not always that easy, but it will start coming to you! We will be here for you!

My biggest trigger is time of day & habit. I think I should have a sweet snack at 2:00 at work. At home, I think my trigger is when I am idle. Then I start thinking about it & go grab a piece of chocolate in the candy drawer.

Excellent trigger catch...it's not always about emotions, but time specific (situational)! Keep up the good work!

Sorry to hear whats going on, but you are learning what your triggers are. Now that you know them, you watch for when they come, and stop before you eat, or go for the fruit. I know that you can do this, (Day by day) You will get there Good luck!

Keep up the good work, this is called a challenge for a reason! The same thing happens to me, and I just want to keep eating and eating. Then I end up grumpy and feeling really low and angry at myself. I am hoping the more I avoid sweets, the more it will become my new normal. I'm a slow learner when it comes to this too but I finally feel like I'm figuring out a strategy to make better choices every day.

Seems like after lunch or before bed, I feel like a need something SWEET.
Last few times I felt this way, I had Greek Yogurt about 2 pm, before dinner and after lunch. I put some fruit in it of have it on the side, just a little. This helped me so much to fill me up.
Then at night, I had some watermelon on night before bed. Hope I can keep this up. It is a daily struggle to break the old habits.

Evenings, and when my self as teem drops at the same time, that will trigger me to find what food I can shove in my body…. I'm slowly learning, the food doesn't really make me feel better, mostly always makes me feel worse…. I guess I am a slow learner but I am worth it to keep trying till I get it right more times then I get it wrong!!!!!

My trigger is evenings, when I am alone & bored. I live alone & if I don't have a craft project to do or a book to read, I want to eat. And shopping............I see it--I want it. lol Not much self control for a woman who is almost 70! But, since I've just started this challenge, (I'm really only on week 1) maybe I can conquer my childish ways and gain some self control in other areas, too.

My triggers are at work. Always in a hurry. Mainly due to poor planning on my part & reaching for a quick fix

My trigger times are after dinner especially. But thing that really triggers the desire for sweets is diet coke. Not sure what it is about it, but if I drink it I have noticed that it can bring on a binge and especially craving of sweets.

I have time triggers too. I can have sweets right after dinner without any problems. If I have them any other time, it just leads to eating more and more in between meals.

I have the same problem, what works for me is to avoid being by the kitchen. I've started hanging out in my bedroom instead of the living room after my daughter goes to bed. I watch TV, work on my computer or read. Being in there tells me I'm done eating for the day and I can really relax.

I totally have to get a handle on the night snacking. I know it is just the let down from the busy days, the house is quiet and I can just sit and enjoy a TV show.

My triggers are more time of day. I want sweets early in the morning and right before bed. I have had better luck sleeping since I've given in a bit at night (chocolate soy milk before bed). That also seems to help with the morning. So I'm going to stick with it.
