To everyone looking for better accountability, for sweets or food intake in general. While I have not tried this, I saw it on a tv show some time ago and it looked like an interesting idea. I don't really have any friends who are truly trying to lose weight; they all just maintain or need to drop a few pounds every now and then, so I would find it hard. However, if you have a friend or family member who is in a similar situation or that you feel comfortable with this may be a good way to be held accountable.
So here's the idea: You find a buddy that's willing to help and you text them everything that you eat the moment it goes in your mouth (hopefully you have unlimited txt). So it's lunchtime: you text them "having a salad with grilled chicken and fat free dressing" or maybe you've caved on a snack and you have to send "jelly filled donut". The idea is that it makes you more aware of what and how often you are eating or craving something. It also makes you think about whether or not you are actually hungry or if something else is driving your eating. The 2 girls on the show said it helps a lot because if the other person is all "salads and healthy choices" you start wanting to reach their level simply because you don't want to send "bucket of deepfried chicken" LOL. Also, you don't want to send a text because you're snacking for no reason and every 5 minutes it's like "candy bar", "bag of chips" blah blah blah.
So you could use this technique for just when you eat sweets or for everything. Let me know if anyone tries it and how they felt about it.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.

I have pretty much stopped sweets, refined sugars, although fruits satisfy my sugar cravings, even those I am able to just say no.
I have made a note at my computer so I can see it. It says "no sugar today" one thing about sugar and sweets is that sugar gives me terrible heartburn if I eat it after a real meal.
To make myself feel good I go on a walk, taking away the urge to eat sweet things. I just don't take food on my walk. just water. I try to make notes about eating in general. drinking 8 oz of water helps me feel full. whatever creative strategies we can find to remind ourselves not to eat or not to eat sweet, we will win!

HelloSinginMomma, I am too glad that you wrote this message because I got weak yesterday and realizez I need more help than just blogging. I am submitting and humbling myself to accountability. If you don't I am here willing to be accountable and work with accountability.
