I always drink a lot of water but somehow since I now drink water when thinking of sweets it seems to work much better. I also don't keep any thing sweet near me.

All the suggestion given really work...try one or all of them out and see what helps you the most! emoticon

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

I definitely feel out of control with sugary things when I am emotionally stressed. If I can get through two days without sugar, I usually can be strong and avoid it. Those two days are the challenge for me.

Maybe try putting out your own veggie/fruit platters. I always appreciated the "real food" over the junk at work.

Thanks for commenting, anyone have suggestions to avoid workplace snacks? I can control my environment at home, but really struggle with treats at work- candy, cookies- and my office is right next to the breakroom.

I agree, so far for me distraction has been the best tactic.

I find if I brush my teeth, have a drink of water, or take a short walk the craving sometimes goes away.

I find i eat sweets mostly from stress, but also for that treat at the end of a hard day. Chocolate is the main culprit but just about anything sweet will do.
