I joined this challenge earlier this week and have not even accomplished week 1 goals. So, I am going to do it now. My reasons for cutting back on sugar are because it is not good for my body to have all that sugar. The more sugar I eat, the more I crave it. Diabetes runs in my family, I have been lucky enough not to have it... yet. Sugar provides empty calories in my diet. The first step I took to work towards taming my sweet tooth was to choose to cut some of my favorite sugars out of my diet such as donuts, DQ Moo Lattes, McDonnalds Frappes, Cakes, cupcakes and bars. These are all empty calorie sugar treats that I just don't need to eat. So I want to stop eating all this stuff so I can continue to lose weight and be healthier. I do know what my pattern is for craving sweets... emotional comfort. When I am feeling stressed out, tired, angry or whatever emotion... i crave sweets. Also I crave sweets in the evening and after eating salty foods.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
Congrats on your stroll. I'm pretty frustrated because over the past few weeks, I haven't been able to commit to the goals as I should have and kick the sweet tooth habit. Recognizing that it perhaps one of the biggest challenges I have to eating healthy and losing what I want to lose and then being able to maintain my goal weight is half the battle. I am committed to kicking this horrible habbit though.

Just got back from a 2.5 mile stroll on the path behind our house with my husband. After mapping our walk to find the distance, I took the sweet tooth quiz - I know this is a main downfall on my healthy eating journey. I really do want to get this under control because I know this is where most of my lack of energy comes from - not eating only when I am hungry and them being wise about what I eat. Having a team to turn to and learn from with a four week plan helps me, so here goes.
