I'm on week 2 and experiencing little to NONE of the cravings everyone else is describing. I don't do artificial sweeteners but I have strawberries and oranges several times a week. Part of me feels like I'm not doing this right but as long as I'm not stopping at the store to buy candy or cakes/cookies, I think I'm on track because that is my goal.

Good for you Blue! Yesterday I found that my appetite was really low, I thought I was getting sick for sure! But today I feel fine and guess what? I sure want my sweets! I had some popcorn and half a beer instead and am on the way to brush my teeth! I hope your sweet tooth monster stays away from you!

My goals are to cut out all processed sugar out of my diet; I did this once years ago and my resting heart rate went down 20 beats a minute from 86 to about 66. I will still eat fruit, unless it makes me crave sugar as someone said it does, but I won't use the sugar substitutes. Right now, I feel like I'm cheating because right now I don't crave anything.) After a month without processed sugar, I will try something to see if it triggers a craving. Easy to say right now, but my cravings can hit me instantly.
Or can stay for a while. Last spring I lost my appetite for some reason, I don't know if I was fighting off a bug or what, but for 3 months I only ate when I was hungry and not very much then, mostly fruit. I lost 60 pounds in about 2 1/2 months, kept if off until about Halloween when the candy and party drinks season came around. Of course, I gained it back again. THIS time I won't lose my head, I will be aware of my cravings when they start. I probably shouldn't even look at the cool huge suckers they have out at Halloween!!!!
