I realized that it's been almost 5 years since I joined Sparkpeople. In that time, I've gained about 15 pounds :(

It's time to start fresh and do this right. I've never really taken advantage of the community before... but the accountability may be my missing link. I joined this spark team because I realized that my work trashcan is full of candy and cookie wrappers (the danger of working across from a vending machine.) All that sugar can't be helping my efforts!

Here's to not giving up.

Good luck as you work to regain your focus! I'm pretty much in the same boat ... I've read this and tried that but just haven't been able to stick with anything long enough to have lasting results. So I'm here for focus as well :)
I have a postcard I got in the mail that says I can rejoin WW for free (just saving the $20 registration fee) but $42.95 a month for the Monthly Pass is a bit pricey for me right now (or ever, for that matter!) so I joined SparkPeople instead :) Hoping that I can really get into it and make it happen this time around.

Hi! I also went to WW and joined Sparks a few years ago. I am now ready to lose the weight I need to and have found help by reading the motivational material that is on Spark. I joined in January and by the end of February lost 25+ pounds. Still have lots more to go, but feel better about myself now. I have a sweets problem, have had since childhood, but am trying to overcome. Best of luck to everyone and don't give up. I really feel if you want it bad enough, you will be able to do anything, including lose weight and keep it off. Sue

Hi Ellen!! emoticon This is my second go around with spark people too. I quit the first time because I thought i was spending too much time on the computer ... I wasn't thinking about all the help and support I was getting. And you know what? It is a LOT cheaper than the other weight loss groups! emoticon

Please, Please watch and listen for motorcycles while your out and about!

Peace, Love & Hugs

Hi there

I am back to Spark People, I used to come here but never took it very seriously.
I have been going to weightwatchers for 2 years now.
Lost 110 pounds there, but have gained 30 of that back. I just can not seem to get the focus back!!
So I am going to try this SparkPeople again!
Praying I take advantage of all the great groups, support and tools available here!
(does not hurt that it is MUCH less expensive than WW)

Have a blessed day
