With Valentine's Day around the corner, now is the time to focus on the health of your heart! This month, we'll be focused on small, sustainable goals that will lead to a heart-healthy lifestyle -- whether you have heart problems, or just want to head off any future problems, now is the time!
Our goals for February are pretty straightforward -- and can be tracked in a weekly blog or in the discussion section, whichever will work better for you! Here are our goals:
1. Track all foods and beverages every day for the month of February;
2. Try (and hopefully share!) ONE heart-healthy recipe per week;
3. Do one thing that's good for your heart per day; and
4. Do at least 30 minutes of heart-healthy cardio three times per week.
For a heart-healthy diet, I recommend tracking not just calories and fat, but also saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium. If you need help adding those nutrients to your tracker, just let me know and I'll guide you through the process.
