I substitute applesauce for oil in some recipes.

I have chronic kidney disease and low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years..I am 54 years old. I am on the Fall Challenge ,Firecrackers Team,on P.S.T. I have passed my 5% weight loss goal.My exercise plan is 2400 minutes a month.I do walking, ride the bike at the gym 65 minutes, 3 times a week & go ice skating for 90 minutes 2 times a week for people over 50. My name is Linda.

I love using raw oatmeal in place of ground meat, or added to it to stretch it.

I sometimes buy containers of seasoned nuts and frankly, they are very strong --but when I've used some of them, I add plain almonds to the can, shake well and let them sit for another day, week, whatever.Then I have more seasoned nuts to enjoy.

I love dill havarti but it is expensive so today I just sprinkled dill on good old mozzarella and it was great!
