This month's challenge is 4 fold:

*Goes for 4 weeks

Exercise to at least one FitTV show each week.

Read SP's July Stress Free Tips (let us know if you do any of them and how it goes by posting)

Join & Participate in SP's Official Stress Relief Challenge Team!! (let us know if you join and how it goes by posting)

Save a dollar a day and put it aside to buy yourself something nice only with the money that was saved this month ($31.00).
It's my birthday this month and since I can't celebrate in person with you, please buy yourself a great gift for me!!! :o) And yes, nice things can be purchased for $31.00!!! Let us know at the end of the month how you celebrated my birthday with your SP savings :oD

The last goal is 4 you. Chose something that is healthy, fit & freeing for you. Do one thing once a week or 4 different things over the month. Let us know so that we can support you in your efforts!!!

Last day of the stress free month and I tell you I have done great following that calendar. Exercise and positive friends helped me the most. Stress is not good and we never have to have it in our lives. It causes sickness and depression and unhappiness. If we can't change it, don't fret about it. Don't fret period. Be blessed everyone!!!

I'm doing great, losing a little weight here & there so I'm happy. Went to a friends house Sunday & we decided to do a bbq & play badmitten (sp?)found some muscle that I either haven't been using when I exercise or haven't been using as much as I should. LOL. Woke up last night & noticed I was a little sore but all is good now.

Glad you are feeling pretty good too.

I exercise to remove stress. Started a journal. Forget the past. I love candles and incense. I burn them frequently. Good scents help a lot.

Learning to pamper myself a bit more! 2 things down 2 to go! I gave myself a parrifin foot bath and an epsum salt, nuertrogena oil bath this week (I usually take showers so this WAS a treat).

Hope everyone s doing well. I need to read more stress free things so I can apply them our last week, which starts on tomorrow, Frisay the 25th!

Doing great, everyone!

I have hit 166 lbs a few days, but still bouncing between 167 other days -- I have 165 in my sights!!

I'm hoping to be at a firm 165 when I take my trip at the end of the month. I talked with both my sisters this weekend; shared my fears that a trip home to see so many people will cause a big weight jump - doesn't it seem like everybody rushes to feed you - all those treats you've been denying yourself??!!

But per my sister, at least at her house (where I'm staying) it's vegies, fruits, fish and chicken all the time! She's been following Weight Watchers for a couple years now, and I think is only about 10 pounds lighter than me. So that made me feel a lot better - we can support each other, rather than sabotage our diets!

The biggest temptation will be the huge family reunion picnic on the last weekend - I know all those "country" relatives of my Dads are some great cooks - I will have to be careful, but I will still enjoy myself too! I am so excited about seeing them all again. I just need to focus on enjoying the company, and not focusing too much on the food. Less than 2 weeks to go before I take off for Seattle......

I haven't loss anything but water weight but I have been working out & not cutting back on calories like I need to. Let's go team!

Ok ladies, I lost 4 lbs. Yeah! On the downside my BP was low and my heartbeat was high. He told me to stay stress free and drink lots of water. I must eat in the morning too. Thats hard. Posting helps get rid of the stress.

I am becoming healthy and happier. I go to the doctor tomorrow and I am just anxious to see what his scale reads. It is always different from my scale and I think my scale is pretty good. I know I have lost since last month. I want to get out of this standstill. I will. I know it. One year and I am still fighting for the new me. It's happening!

Thanks for all the posts, ladies, it's great to hear how you are all doing!

I am looking forward to seeing my family in early August, and what their reactions will be to my weight loss. Of course, most of them never saw me at my heaviest, but my husband says they will still be surprised. I know it sure makes me feel better about seeing everyone again, knowing how much I've done to improve!

I've been doing at least one Gilad workout almost every day this week, and saving my dollars.

Today, I spent almost two hours tidying up my garden. That was very good for my mind and body! The most adorable kitten (from the neighbors)came by and kept me company, too. He was a sweet little light colored Siamese, and played the cutest little games with me while I pulled weeds!

So for one more indulgence today I'm off to the library, to get something fun to read over the weekend.

So I'm also enjoying this challenge, as I can really use some stress relievers!!!!!

As for the workouts... I did about 2 minutes of All Stars' Belly Dance and that was it for me! My goal is to try to get through one episode by the end of the month! Small steps for me! I had pool therapy twice this week, and it'll take that long to recover... I'm SORE!!!!!

Remember Team, you can do it, you are doing it. So smile, it'll help you get through it!!!!

Check out some of FitTV's reality shows, or the cooking shows and try to apply smething to your life!

Oh and how's your savings going for July I need to put a few dollars in I'm behind!

I know what you mean Deb. When I lost the weight the first time, my mom & brother were very worried about me & told me not to lose anymore. Its kind deflating on one hand & then encouraging that they care. I encourage you to continue on do what is necessary til you feel fit & free! emoticon

I have really been working on this stress calendar. I use the day for calling a friend to help get through the stress. That works well to get your mind off the problems you think you have.

I went home this weekend and the reactions to this weight loss was unbelievable. It is so hard to comprehend in my head that I look different to others. I have people who say you are too skinny, others say you look good, then I have a friend that talks about the bust and it's position, but she's young and does not really look for the good first. I was happy with the reactions and it has helped me to keep celebrating my accomplishments while going forward for greater success. I tried to explain to those who told me not to lose any more weight that I had to to get where I felt comfortable at. I don't feel comfortable at this weight/size. I still feel like the "fat lady" and I don't want that label on me any longer. It's a good year for new beginnings and this has been mine.

I'll figure out how to post when I do what's on the calendar and still no way to do the shows, especially since my modem is acting crazy, so no Internet at home. I'll go to the library when I can.

Thanks everyone for motivating me. I read the posts and I am so happy for all the participation. It's good to see more than one or two members posting.

So glad to see the team getting started wit this month's challenge. Even though My body's not fully healed to a great state, I'm still in for trying and want to encourage everyone to work on at least 1 if not more of the 4 goals!


Thanks BOGCAMP, for doing a great weekly model, I encourage all who are in for the challenge to do the same, it will be easier to follow. So here's mine:

That sounds like a great plan for July, Rosalyn! I will do my best to take part.

On August 2nd I am flying home to Seattle to see my two sisters and brother, plus my son, his fiancé, my brother"s new wife, and all of my husband's family, finishing up with a huge family reunion picnic in Oregon on August 9th. First time I've been home in about 5 years. So I am extremely excited!!!

Having lost so much weight really makes me feel good about seeing everyone again. Yesterday I went out and did some clothes shopping, and it was the most fun I've had in a long time - seemed like so many attractive clothes to choose from, and especially NOT getting depressed (like in the past) 'cause I didn't look overweight in everything. I even bought one really pretty black and white sleeveless top, which is quite daring for me - I don't usually show my upper arms to anyone ( I hate that "arm wobble"), but I figured, what the heck!

So I am going to be super motivated this month to do my best with my body until my trip.

And I know I can find a use for any money I save! Maybe one more pair of sandals??

I've come up with this month's mantra:
"Skinny in Seattle!"

I just keep repeating that any time I find myself heading for a snack, or too much starch at dinner time.... I'm going to be skinny in Seattle!

Thank's Deborah! I actually washed dishes and clothes on the 4th and watched the downtown fireworks from my home. I'm in Santa Barbara, California's #1 Fire according to Gov. Arnold S. So both of the Goleta shows were cancelled and I'm sure there were way more pwople @ the downstown Santa Barbara Show. So I enjoyed the fireworks from home with no traffic!!!


My birthday is on the 26th of July.
If I could I would invite you all to a party & give each SP Friend a goodie bag to say thanks for coming!!! And because I can't give you all goodie bags (like at kiddie parties) for all that you do for yourselves through this FitTV Team, I tought that you'll (a lil Texas coming out) could give yourselves goodies (in your team leader's birthday honor, if you will) emoticon

So I hope that the team is saving up their funds! I have my $5.00 in a lil "kiss me" mug...You can put it aside now, daily or weekly. And if you all want to put aside more than $1 a day, that's fne, just limit the gift for yourself to your July savings!!!

This month's challenge begins today, July the 4th!!! Happy Independence Day to all!

This month's challenge is 4 fold:
*Just 4 you
*Starts on the 4th
*Goes for 4 weeks
*4 different goals

1)Exercise to at least one FitTV show each week.
2)Read SP's July Stress Free Tips (let us know if you do any of them and how it goes by posting)
3)Save a dollar a day and put it aside to buy yourself something nice only with the money that was saved this month ($31.00). It's my birthday this month and since I can't celebrate in person with you, please buy yourself a great gift for me!!! :o) And yes, nice things can be purchased for $31.00!!! Let us know at the end of the month how you celebrated my birthday with your SP savings :oD
4)The last goal is 4 you. Chose something that is healthy, fit & freeing for you. Do one thing once a week or 4 different things over the month. Let us know so that we can support you in your efforts!!!

Well that's it 4 the month of July!!!

I'll post my weekly results every Friday, as that will mark the beginning of each week! Feel free to follow suit!

Week 1 - 4-10 th
Week 2 - 11-17 th
Week 3 - 18-24 th
Week 4 - 24-31 st
