Hello ladies! I strength trained today and I am proud of myself for keeping up with the planned and unplanned routines. Water is my problem. Can't keep enough in me. That will change.
Bettye, a new challenge is starting this week anyway.
You doing good.

Yesterday was the first day that I feel off the wagon. But I will get back on the horse again today. I did however, do a lot of house work and drank my water. Ciera and MsProverbs, keep up the great work. Should we extend this another 2 weeks. Bettye

Shame on me. I have not been posting on this link for this challenge. Well, Friday, which is still today in Texas, I stepped up and exercised my way into happiness. That's the best method. I am back on my fitness track because that is what has been my motiation since I started to lose this weight. Can't wait to see the next challenge's stipulations. I know it will be another great one.
Blessings to all! Deborah

Hi MsProverbs, I do my leg lifts while I am watching TV, so the time goes by rather quicking and I was surprised by it myself. I started at 100 on each leg a week ago and that seemed like it wasn't enough so I did it until I got tired and the muscle started to burn. Then I began to push beyond the burn to see how long I could stand it and was amazed at my endurance so I kept going. I am a little shocked myself so I do this every night whether I want to every night, except Tuesday and Thursday. I ignore the voice in my head and keep moving.;o)

Day by Day is how we have to do it BCURRY!
And 1200 leg lifts...I don't know if I could have counted that high without thinking it was time to rest...that's GREAT!

Hi MsProverbs, I hear you on the yoga, I have trouble stretching too, for some reason I can never get my hamstrings flexible. Sunday 32 oz water 1200 leg lifts
Monday 64 oz water 1200 leg lifts
I am been doing okay, I don't want to get too excited because when I do, I somehow fall off the wagon. So I am just taking it day by day. Thanks again for this challenge

Okay is everyone back on track from the holiday weekend? Yesterday I did a lot of walking. I also went to a yoga class which was difficult in terms of my body moving and holding poses. I'm pretty flexable but when it comes to balance and my strength...well, let's just say I'm starting from the beginning.
I'm drinking more water and taking care of my face! YAY!!!! I hope everyone is doing well!
If you need support we are all here! Enjoy the week!

Back home from being out of town so I can start posting again:
For my workout challenge I have come up with a new daily schedule for adding my strength training tonight
2) I will try and post daily - Monday Posted
3) My nutritional goal is to get the required fiber and calcium. Made a list of fiber foods to use in my diet for this week.
4) My body goal is to do a pedicure. I do yoga and Pilate's 3x a week with new shoes and my poor feet and chipped polish needs to be attended to. I did a pedicure last night and new I have purple polish instead of chipped red polish. My feet are smiling.

Walking is still going okay. My back is sore though. Let's see I have 3 out of my 5 days for the week. This means even after today I would have come up short...but I'm making progress from where I was!
Water, I did 9 glasses. And I didn't do my Noxzema on Friday...But I'm gonna keep pushing
BCURRY I'm so glad that you are doing sooooo well!!! Yay you are FITsational!!!

Okay I did my water 64 oz. but I'm still going because I'm thirsty!!!
Did my first walk tonight according to the A Heart HEalthy Program, YEA!Also did wrist work & stretching. I'm going to have to cut back a bit less minutes, because I am SORE with lower back pain and aching feet. Next week will be better with my fitness trainer, so I look forward to that. Total exercise time 23 min.
And before I go to bed I'll do my Noxzema mask.
Today's a much better day than yesterday. Thx SP friends for encouraging me!

I know what you mean. I can barely keep up with the short ones at times. The quarter long ones and longer...even more difficult for me.
Well, I'm glad your mind is set in the right direction. Enjoy the day of challenge!

I am feeling good, considering this is my second day of the challenge. The key is to keep it going even when I'm not motivated or inspired to do so. I think that's where I run into issues so if I can keep this mindset I hope to be okay. The good thing is that this is a short challenge, when they tend to get longer, I have problems. So I plan to be on my best behavior.

So yesterday was not a good day for me, in terms of hitting all of my challenges. I did do a Noxzema mask and post on the boards. But my fitness and nutrition goals need to be altered.
So my Zumba workout is getting put on the shelf for a walking program. My body's not ready for it yet, although it was fun! I've been researching walking stuff on SP & printed out the beginner's Healthy Program www.sparkpeople.com/resource/walking_heart _healthy3.asp so I can do it right with a mission!
For my nutrition, I'm switching it to a water challenge 8+ glasses. After going to my Cardiologist yesterday, I'm making this decision. I need more water to counter act some of the meds I'm on which cause me to get light-headed & dehydrated. So for now this is more important than worrying about eating BLD.
Okay so let's see how the rest of the challenge goes.
And so how are the rest of the Fit Ladies doing?

I really like both: Yoga has helped with streching of my muscles. I started in Jan. one day a week and I could not touch my toes. Now I can. Pilates has helped with my muscle tone up. I can tell I have lost inches all over. I do that 2x a week.
I will keep you all posted.

THings are going okay, although I'm a bit slow to change. Let's see it's Tuesday and I've decided...
1)My new workout will be Zumba Fitness for the next 2 weeks. taking a break so I'll do only 5 days not 7 days a week.
2) I'm posting daily so that maybe someone else will be inspired (even if they don't post) or that I might get encouraged by you).
3) My nutritional goal to stick with for 2 weeks will be to actually eat Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
4) My body goal to stick with for 2 weeks will be to wash my face with Noxzema daily. I did this for a mini challenge of 4 days this month and it felt great. Then I came home and havn't pulled it out of the bag, so this will help me to start using it again.
Okay that's my update. If you're doing the challenge too, great! Take some time to post here, so we can support one another! I hope you are all doing well!

I actually started my workout part with Zumba Fitness. This is new for me, just got the DVD COllection on Saturday. I actually did 44 of the hour long Sculpt & Tone DVD. Now I'm rewarding myself with some McConnell's fat-free frozen yogart.
I can't wait to cool down so I can take a shower! See you Tuesday.

Okay, so for all of the new people and the seasoned FitTVers... I have a 2 week challenge for all who dare to shake their body up and fool it into going an extra mile.
Some of you might have hit a plateau of motivation, physical or emotional weight. So why not fool your body to get it moving again!?! This challenge will end on April Fool's Day, Tues. the 1st. So what's the challenge? 4 things for the 4th month of the year.
1) We will try a new workout, exercising for at least 10 minutes 5 times a week (FitTV or other wise). I know that some of you already do more, so just use this as an additional 10 min. of something new to your existing workout. If you're like me, you might need to break up even the 10 minutes into 2 or 3 parts. That's okay!
2) We will post daily what you're doing and/or to motivate one another.
Some of us aren't posting at all. But if we just spend a minute to type a sentence or even huddle, not only will you feel better, but someone else will be touched by your words! And you'll get SP points
3) Chose a nutritional goal and stick with it for 2 weeks.
Need to drink more water? Do it! Need more fruit or veggies in your diet? Do it! Need to stop eating 2 hours before you go to bed? Do it Need to eat breakfast? Do it!
4) Chose a body goal and stick with it for 2 weeks.
Need to pamper yourself? Do it! Need to take out a few minutes to meditate or pray to stay stress free? Do it. Need to stop smoking? Do it! Need to soften your feet w/ a primice stone or daily shower pedicure? Do it! You pick what you need to do to fool your body into greatness!
Well I hope that we can all join in on this April Fool's Day Challenge. Who knows you might get your body moving to that next level! And you'll be telling that plateau, I fooled you!
Hope you join me! Do what you can and let me know if you need help! Don't forget to huddle and/or post here!
