Hi Bella! Wow, Mrs. Blackrose - haven't been called that before! Thank you for courtesy, but you can just call me Jenn G.
I myself drink a ridiculous amount of water in a day... probably getting close to your 3L. The reason that I think this is okay is because my body would tell me if it wasn't, and I didn't just sit down one day and decide to drink 3L.
Everyone is different, and we all need to listen to our bodies. If someone already drinks a lot of water, they are going to notice if they cut back. Their bodies are used to it. If someone doesn't drink a lot, and decides to add a little bit at a time (like 8 glasses in a day) - they will notice a big difference. Probably more bathroom breaks, but possibly other positive changes as well.
Is it possible to hurt yourself if you drink too much water in a day? Yes, it is possible - but in your case, I wouldn't worry about it if you are already doing well. Is it possible to hurt yourself by not drinking enough water in a day? Yes, it is possible - but that doesn't mean hook yourself up to a garden hose either.
The same with everything else healthy for us - change a little bit at a time, so our bodies can adjust.
Hope that was helpful to everyone, and Bella!
