Yea I started this pregnancy off technically obese 175 (I'm 5'1") and was told to try to keep it between 10-15 lbs overall and I did ok with that up to 18 weeks I had not gained any weight but now am up 6 lbs at 22 weeks so I need to calm it back down to no more than .5 lb a week or I'll be over shooting it my range. I have a ton of cravings too but I just try to keep everything junk wise out of the house usually I'm to lazy to go to the store to buy it when I want it and the craving passes :)

My main concern has been for my weight...I was average weight to start, around 137 but I am only 11 weeks 5days and I weigh in at 150-151.!!! So that would mean a gain of 14 lbs in a matter of 7 weeks! ...I have gotten back on track this past week and I am trying to maintain but it seems as though I don't have the energy to exercise and I crave food....a lot of food!!! Keep trying to remind myself to take deep breaths and one day at a time!

Weight @ delivery of baby girl- 197

Start weight on SP- 167
Current weight- 152.2
Goal weight- 137

ugh so for the majority of this pregnancy so far I have had insane hip/groin pain. I kept thinking it was just round ligament pain which is common and totally normal but it is like a constant pain!! Lately it has gotten worse to the point where it hurts to lift my leg high enough to put on my pants! I have been doing the fat lady waddle lately not because of weight but because its easier on my hips. Trying to figure out what in the world this is thinking I may have found my answer with SPD also known as pelvic girdle pain. I'll double check this w/ my doc when I see her on the 30th but in the mean time I guess I'm just going to go with the assumption thats what it is cause its the closest fit I can find and I never experienced this with my last pregnancy. The really awesome news is they really don't do anything for you so basically its just a name to put to the pain, great. Anyone else experiencing pain like this? It hurts like where your legs and hips conecct. Just seeing if anyone else has any other ideas besides round ligament pain or SPD of what it could be.

I just met with a nutritionist this month who recommended that I try to maintain but not to lose. She said if your BMI is high that some recent studies had shown it was safe to lose up to about 10 pounds over the entire pregnancy with no negative effects for mom or baby. But, she still recommended not trying to lose, just trying to be healthy because large losses cause your body to metabolize muscle and fat producing ketones in your blood stream which is bad or the baby. You could call and check in with your doctor to see what is safe for you. Don't forget, your weight may fluctuate day to day or even within a day more than it did before you got pregnant.

**Wouldn't it be boring if we knew where life would take us ahead of time?**

I would double check this with your doctor of course but technically your not supposed to lose any weight while pregnant they say its safe in the first trimester cause most women get morning sickness and can't help the few pounds they drop. But while your not supposed to actively "diet" while pregnant its still ok to exercise and eat healthy!!! And they usually say you don't have to gain any weight until your within your second trimester. Just make sure your not limiting your calories too much since alot of important stuff happens in those first few months and your body needs that food to fuel all that baby building its doing!

Does anybody know how far along you can be before you have to stop dropping the weight and packing it back on?

ugh anyone else experiencing hip/back pain? I do not remember having it this early in pregnancy last time but it started last week with just like general pain around my pelvis, I used to call them stretchy pains cause I pictured everything stretching inside to make room for baby :) and then over the weekend it turned into hip and back pain I've been sleeping with the body pillow but its not helping and I am soooo tired from tossing and turning all night trying to find a position that doesn't hurt as bad. I am totally kicking myself for not ordering the prenatal support belt earlier I thought I'd wait till a little further along since I wasn't having any pain geez that was smart lol I will definitely be ordering one today and scheduling an appointment with the chiropractor and hopefully things will calm down then.
