My goals for this month included hitting the Appalachian Trail at Carvers Gap, Tennessee which I did ahead of schedule on June 23, 2012. My other goals were lots of walking. I did the 2.5 mile hike to Abrahms Falls, Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I made it on July 2nd. Had an asthma attack at the falls as well as blood sugar bottoming out. Other hikers reported it to the rangers since it was 6:40pm when we started the return 2.5 mile hike back out. Made it out ok just as the ranger was getting ready to call for a search. He was at the car waiting for us when we appeared. That was the first time I had done 5 miles in one stretch. I also hit the Mountain to Sea trail in North Carolina to go to The Cascades (waterfall) off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Still have the goal of alot of walking but I'm home now so it won't be near as interesting.

To get myself back on track. Ben a lot going on in home and family lately. I never sleep well when I have a lt going on.. But do need now to take some time out, plan meals and get back to exercising irene
