I guess I'm the only one, still 'playing' the 10% challenge. Since this is the ONLY challenge I'm doing on Spark People, I'll keep it up till next Wednesdays! I started at 226.6 & today I am 206.2 So I need to release 2 lbs. by wednesday..... That's not going to happen! I am releasing about 1 lb. a week, which is healthy for me. Fun game, though!

Hello! My Friday weigh in group!

I started March 16, 2012 = 226.6
March 23= 223.4
March 30= 222.4
April 6= 220.4
April 13= 219.8 TODAY! I've released 7.2 lbs. This is GREAT for me, as I usually loose weight VERY unhealthily & with Spark People, I'm learning how to do it right! I am SO grateful to have found this community!!!!! Feel free to check out my Spark Page,

April 27= 217.4 YIPPY!!!!!
May 4= 216.8 (I think, I'm traveling & using a different scale! It 'feels' correct, though!)
May 11= 215.0
May 18= 213.0
May 25= 211.4 (I've release 15.2 #'s! YES!!!!) My goal is 2 # a week. I'm OK with a little less.
June 1= 210.9 (1/2 more pound! I'll take it!)
June 8= 209.4
June 15= 208.0 (3rd MONTH Sparkaversary!!! Released 18.8 so far of a 51 # goal)
June 22= 207.6 (4 oz. REALLY?) At least one of my fav. jackets fit me! YES!
SP people REALLY works for me!
June 29= 206.2 I have reached my 20 lb. release! (30 more to go to GOAL!)

Any way you want to do it is fine. It's a challenge against yourself, not towards the team, so it's up to you how you do it.
I made the weigh in's on Fridays since that's when the challenge started. If you started late, the first weigh in is a week from the day you start.

Starting Weight: Feb. 10th- 195
I weigh on Wednesdays, so this is my weight from 2/8

Challenge Goal Weight: 176
I don't measure to the decimal, this is rounded up accordingly.

Actual Ending Weight: July 4th-

Week1: 2/15 - 193, 1% down
Week 2:2/22 - 193, no change

I'm not going to continue participating in this challenge. I feel like I'm trying too hard to lose the weight and focusing on the numbers too much. I feel like I've made some unhealthy choices in the past month and need to reassess my goals. Right now, my goal is to not participate in weight loss challenges any more. Fitness, healthy eating, and wellness challenges only from now on. There's nothing wrong with this challenge, it's just not for me.

On Friday I weighed 255 pounds. So 10% of that will be 25 pounds or 230. I hope I can do this!

Even if you only manage 5% in that length of time, it should give you a big boost. I don't expect anyone to push themselves into unhealthy habits. Just be mindful of your eating and get in some form of exercise daily. If you already exercise, try adding 10 extra minutes.

I've recently heard about using this as a weight loss goal. 10% of your body weight in 6 months, this is only giving us 5 months. I guess I'll give it a try, but won't expect to reach a full 10% until August 10th.
