Happy to be helpful, Dev!
I know everyone here is concerned about avoiding artificial sweeteners... which is why my radar went up when I read that these bars weren't sweetened with sugar. Frankly I don't see anything "wrong" with Maltitol... you just have to eat it in moderation.
I have seen chocolates advertised that are high in antioxidants.
Haven't bought any of them though cuz of the price.
Let me see if I can find them...
Here's one brand, Xocai... you can see how pricey they are and their ingredient list is in a PDF file that you have to download in order to view (sigh) www.ultimateantioxidant.ca/
Here's another that sells it in snacks:www.cocoavia.com/goodnessknows
There's a handful of companies selling organic chocolate, but organic doesn't mean that the chocolate hasn't been processed with alkali, ya know? Just that its been sustainably farmed and nothing chemically has been added. Heartwarming, but what about the antioxidants?
Frankly I'm thinking a chocolate company that makes healthy chocolates at a decent price has the potential to make a killing. There's a definite market for it... but lack of competition has the prices sky high and made it inconvenient to purchase.
Off my soapbox! ha
