1/2 large Cucumber (diced)
1/2 cup Mango (diced)
12 Cherry Tomatoes (chopped)
2 Tbsp Shallots (thinly sliced or diced)
1/4 tsp Fresh Chili Pepper (finely chopped)
1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Lime (juice of)
1/4 tsp Cumin
A few pinches of Celtic Sea Salt

I think this is just about perfect for me to start-
Next step is to go out and get some food and I can start tomorrow-I know I'm a bit late but I have been gaining and this should be a great thing to do!

(using only the mustard greens is too bittery tartish tangy ... gotta remember to use it with other greens!)

Snack: grapes

Supper: blend of romaine lettuce, green leaf lettuce, red leaf lettuce, bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, sweet potato (shredded), green onions, dulse flakes

Medicinal: nettles, red clover, anise seed, echinacea, marshmallow root

*oh crud, I just remembered that I meant to try parsley in my smoothie this morning! I think I'm going to start juicing a little bit, too. I already want to hit the grocery store again but it's gonna have to wait and I'm gonna have to make due with everything I have right now!!!

Thank you so much, Karen. This is going to sound really stupid, but it's kinda like sleepwalking. It happens occasionally and I have pretty much had it under control for quite awhile, but it still happens now and then. Usually it happens when I get over-tired and don't go to bed at an appropriate time. I go into a stupor. I used to do other weird things too, like go online and write things that I don't remember the next day or shop. But eating is always the worst cause I really suffer the next day or two. I notice there is more of a risk for sleep-eating when I don't do a cup of tea and a bath before bed and go to bed at a healthy hour.

Morning: Green Smoothie - made with romaine, baby spinach, apple, pear (usually, but left out today as not ripe enough), celery, banana, lemon juice, ice and water.

Lunch: Big salad. Apple. Turkey burger (no bun).

Snack: Orange

Dinner: Asparagus - cooked. Will have a huge salad with spinach and tomatoes with what I find in the 'fridge. Will have 3 oz. of beef tonight.

Today has been a hectic day but here is my food intake for the day so far.

Breakfast
Smoothie - banana, honeydew melon, strawberries and Romain. 100%

Lunch - Greek Yogurt with pecans, almonds, various seeds and dried fruit mixed in, it was the only fruit available. Better than the vending machine :D I know the Yogurt is not Raw and will be liking for Raw alternatives this weekend. Going to say this was 40% Raw.

Dinner - Large green salad with mix of Romain and Red Lettuce, onions, apples, celery, and pecans, Yum! I have been throwing some meat in with this but am aiming for no meat tonight that will make this meal 100% Raw, wish me luck. :-D That would put my overall day at 80%. =D

I was bad for lunch I had 2 slices of pizza and a TastyKake (BAD BAD BAD)

Breakfast Smoothie which actually is more of a Raw Soup:
2 celery stalks,1 cucumber,1/2 lemon,2 cups kale,large pear

Lunch is left over Raw Tabouli from yesterday: so it's less than 1/2 recipe below

1/2 bunch of parsley
1/2 head of cauliflower
2 large plum tomatoes
2 thick slices of a sweet onion diced (probably 1/4 cup) didn't have scallions
2 kirby cucumbers diced up
1/2 fresh lemon squeezed
1 Tbsp olive oil
sea salt/ pepper to taste
garlic powder- couldn't find my garlic press


Snack: Orange

Snack 2: 2 kirby cucumbers probably will eat around 4 PM

Dinner: huge salad

I've been doing this for a week now, and am pretty happy, have to say that I was hoping for more weightloss, but I'm sure that in time that will come. So, I've been doing a slow start to this but am seeing myself slowly omitting certain cooked foods. So, I guess I'm going to have to find RAW Yogurt because that is something that I am having a hard time giving up. So, right now I'm doing a Smoothie in the morning for breakfast today was Collard greens, strawberries, bananas and grapes, that takes me forever to drink. So then for lunch I have Greek Yogurt mixed with some fesh or dried fruit and nuts. Then for Dinner I'm having a huge salad, with nuts, raisins or other fruit, onions, and what ever else I find to put in there, plus some meat, yea I know that 's a no, no, but I'm not quite there yet. During the day I might have a hand full of this trailmix I found that has almonds and some other seeds and dried fruit in it only. That's about it. This is way more healthy than I have ever eaten before. Oh, and I've also increased my water intake like made and have had almost no coffee for the last two weeks, I have been having 1-2 cups of tea, better compared to my several cups of coffee which was a norm for me.

So, my only downer was no weightloss, but I did cheat very badly on Sunday, so that doesn't help. However I feel WONDERFUL!!!!!!! No acid reflux which had become just a painful way of life for me. I have very good energy, clearer thinking and though the number on the scale hasn't gone down my body feels like it has. So, I'm not stopping, I actually think I'm hooked, have been checking out the high end blender options :)

emoticon Ruthie, I would love the recipe. We can't buy Raw milk like you can in Pennslyvania. I wonder if it can b made from raw Goat's milk. I have a friend that has goats and she makes me Raw cheese from their milk.

Thank you Yvonne! I do make raw yogurt out of my raw milk. very very healthy and it goes especially nice in a savory kind of green smoothie that can use a bit of a cheesy taste.

P/S And no, I don't heat it at all, as most how to do it sites tell you to...raw milk sours right into yogurt...I strain off the whey, and use that for cheese flavoring in my savory smoothies. I read that this is how they used raw milk in ancient europe, and was going to sent the article, but now I can't find it to send. *sigh*

I'm in I already at least 80-100% raw daily so I see no reason not to join the challenge, plus I'm already drinking at least three green drinks weekly. I love doing this!:)

I think this is a GREAT idea. I have either really raw days or really cooked days. I want a balance in my life. This will be great incentive.

Hey! ....I am trying to be raw all day till supper...I think I'm finally ready to commit to this long-term...part of my new baby steps approach, lol.

Today I'm having a huge salad, Waldorf themed with lettuce, tomato, bell pepper, green onion, apple and avocado...and a little oil, salt and pepper.

And I also have some raw brownies (as part of my anti-depressant to cope with a difficult person at work, lol.)

I've been having two green smoothies per day (one in the morning, and one while I'm prepping dinner), and another fruit smoothie of another color in the middle of the day. I just made a big massaged kale salad. I made raw holiday stuffing, raw mushroom walnut pate, and raw whipped cream for a fancy tea party I'm throwing tonight. I feel GREAT!!

Not quite February yet, but I made myself a smoothie for the first time in ages today. And it's the first time I made it at work! I brought frozen fruit to keep in our freezer and make it here! So first meal is raw. That will be it for today. ;) It's a start.
