I can't promise I will do a full work-out each day but will make a conscious effort to "move it" every day.

1/1/12: Dance for 30 minutes, sang at church (yes it burns calories)
1/2/12: Walk to gym (20 minutes), use steam shower, walk back (20 minutes up hill), yoga at home
1/3/12: I had joined a new local gym/community center. Super-cheap and perfect for me. I walked 20 minutes during lunch, walked 20 minutes to gym, did an intense 20 minutes on the elliptical, then did a few pull-ups and dips on the gravitron machine, followed by a delightful 20 minutes of switching between the steam room and a step outside to the beach in the frigid cold. :) my own version of a spa treatment. Then another 20 minute walk home. It felt good to sweat at the gym.

1/2/12:My 2nd day of doing the above programs. I need to repeat my program at least twice.
My steps were 6323 total / 2.56 miles / 3420 aerobic steps/ 28 miin.

1/3/12: My 3rd day of doing 1/1/12's program. My steps were: 6,485 total / 2.58 miles / 3438 aerobic steps / 27 min. (getting faster!)

1/4/12:Muscle failure / dr's visit / dr's orders!

****Per dr's orders: I will count my 6 hrs + of physical labor: house cleaning as part of my exercise program (duh!). I'll start back "regular" exercising by doing 2 laps of the mall and
1 staircase this full week.
1/8/12: 7 hrs house cleaning total 2 laps/1stair case at mall: 8388 total steps/4.36 miles / 3494 aerobic 31 min.
1/9/12:7 hours house cleaning total 7123 total steps 3.70 miles / 3354 aerobic 28 min. / 2 laps 1 staircase at mall.
1/10/12:6 hours total house cleaning. 6739 total steps 3.50 mi 2679aerobic 23 min (I'm getting faster! / 2 laps 1 stair case at mall
1/11/12:2 laps of mall 1 staircase/ 6385 total steps 3.35 mi / 2650 aerobic steps 28 min (had to slow down dr's orders!) 7 1/2 hours total of house cleaning
1/12/12::2 laps of mall/1staircase 7141 total steps/3.71 miles/3417 aerobic steps 29 minutes --as of Sunday I am adding body healing modality before my mall walk. I am keeping my laps and stairs as is until I feel strong enough to add more. Doctor's orders!
1/13/12:2 laps of mall 1 staircase/7746 total steps/ 4.03 mi / 3492 aerobic / 30 minutes/ 7 1/2 hrs of house cleaning.
1/14/12:2 laps of mall/1staircase/6313 total steps 3.2 mi/3561 aerobic steps 30 min/ 6 hrs of cleaning
1/15/12:7889 total steps / 4.10 mile No mall exercise today
1/16/12:7889 total steps / 4.10 mile. No mall today. 8 hrs of house cleaning

I'm in! Today, I am avoiding the gym honestly - I know it'll be filled with new gymmers, and I get uncomfortable around that many people. So I will do home yoga and play some Kinect games (they're great!) and start the gym again when they get back to their 5am open times since it's not so crowded that early ;-)

This is the most challenging issue for me. I am in!

My program consists of early morning body modalities most of which are in a seated position. I am working on my feet all day long and need upper body movement most of all.

The next part is walking the mall before work and adding laps/stair cases incrementally. I will build up my steps to 10,000 - 12,000 range per day. My doctor will not allow me to do any long distance walking for a year to let my body heal with the raw food/green smoothie program.

The 3rd and last daily part is a rotation of mat work outs/aerobics/strength or resistance band training after work in the evenings.

That is my commitment.

I'll try to remember to come by and talk about my exercise. My minimum is 3 workouts a week. I shoot for 5 workouts. I always try to take at least one day off a week.
