Also, this is right up my plans for the New Year, so I'm in. I'll do my best to post daily. I am committed to one green juice a day and juices with raw snacks and tea from 8-5.
I'm technically not starting until tomorrow but I did grapefruit juice yesterday, am starting my sprouter machine today and having a green juice for breakfast today.
1/1/12: grapefruit juice, lots of fruit yesterday morning
1/2/12: Got the sprouter machine started last night but as I unexpectedly ended up away all day, I never got to juice. :(
1/3/12: 1) 1 Grapefruit, 1 Large Orange, 1 Clementine [My husband says this was delicious :)], 2) 1 Cucumber, Half a bunch of celery 3) Head of broccoli, 1/2 bunch of kale, 2 pears 4) 1 cup pineapple, 1 large orange, 1 clementine, 1/4 sliced strawberries 4) this is meant to mix in the other green juices for more flavor - 1 lime, 1 lemon, big handful of parsley.
1/4/12: 1) Having the broccoli juice that I didn't get to from yesterday, 2) repeat of the grapefruit concoction posted yesterday 3) Honeydew Melon juice with a sprig of mint. I also made kitchari so though it's not raw, it is a recommended recipe for detox. :) It's finally turned cold in New England so that with my tea will help me transition to more raw.
1/5/12: I'm not feeling myself this morning and didn't get out of bed early to do my juicing. DH made me a fresh orange juice, so I've had one. I am eating my leftover kitchari today, tea with lemon and a salad. If I have energy left late tonight, I will juice a green juice for dinner.
1/6/12: I had miso soup last night for dinner with lots of veggies! I managed to resist coffee/chocolate yesterday despite very strong urges and now today, I'm clean! I have a lovely cucumber, lime, celery, parsley juice this morning; a honeydew juice for snack; kitchari for lunch, and my favorite pineapple, orange, strawberry juice for afternoon snack. Dinner will be leftover miso soup.
1/7/12: 1 Juice - Fresh squeezed OJ, grapefruit and clementine [vegetarian chili, tomato soup and cheese and crackers, various cocktail food at winter party including shrimp]
1/8/12: 1 Juice - fresh squeeze OJ, grapefruit and clementine [Ate beef stew today, was exceptionally tired after numerous hours of singing and craving it - but all is not lost]
1/9/12: Completely exhausted from singing all weekend and husband's work party. Thankfully, he juiced my citrus juice this morning. Other, than that, I'm stuck with eating out. Maybe, I'll get a smoothie from Boloco's for lunch. Breaking down and having a coffee at starbucks though. :( Tomorrow is another day.
1/10/12: Not doing as well these days with my plan but I am also doing way more than usual... and keeping up with my regular healthy maintenance is enough sometimes... Thanks to my husband who makes me my citrus juice in the morning.
1/11/12: Citrus Juice
1/12/12: Citrus Juice - my saving consolation is that I will be able to have wheat grass tomorrow - it will be ready.
1/13/12: I did not make time to juice this morning or prepare food so I am eating out at work again today. Oh, well. Tonight when I get home I am having a shot of juiced wheat grass, miso soup and a cucumber sandwich
