Yes, I think I'd prefer jogging to pushing myself away from the table too. Ha! I started jogging 30 seconds at a time. It's my favorite because it's effective and I can get a pretty good workout in 30 minutes.

My favorite fun thing to do.... In the summer my favorite just for fun exercise would have to be playing in the big waves at the beach. Paddling our canoe and looking at the reflection of the sky in the water.
Fall would be a walk in the woods after the leaves have fallen.
In the winter.....brrrrr......A walk in the snowy woods on a not too bitter cold day.
Spring..........watching the birds and the trees budding. Relaxing:)
I think I have more fun in the summer when it is warm.

A former body ago, I was an athlete. I love basketball. Lived on a lake until I was 21, now reside by the ocean--love to swim. Elliptical time often, while watching my son prove he is the "king of video games."

Walking on the beach would be great...but we live about 12 hours from the ocean and 2 hours from Lake Michigan. Hopefully walking on the beach will be a good form of exercise when we retire.
For now we are active in our local running club. I run/walk about one 5k per month from April-November. I also walk about 1 1/2 miles every morning around the neighborhood when the weather allows, if not then on the treadmill.
