I think I moved into 190-ville about 2 weeks before New Years, so I would be happy to be out of here by the end of the month.

I didn't make it to the 180's either... I think a lot of us got side tracked by the last couple weeks! Tomorrow is a new year though and we WILL make it to the 180's!

hi team. Well, this morning I am 192.6 and do not think I will magically drop 2.6 pounds by tomorrow morning. But, I did make me original goal of being out of the 200s by New Years, so no complaints here. Onto 2009....keep up the amazing work!

So what is everyone's plans for this weekend?

Tonight I have an old friend taking me out for sushi (I will try to avoid the fried stuff and stick with the fish...) And this weekend I am hoping to get in as much walking as possible. I have Week 1 day 3 of C25K to do Saturday, Sunday we are hoping on doing a walk around a local lake...
My biggest challenge will probably be sticking to non-bar food and not drinking as much as I did last weekend... or at least sticking to low-cal drinks!

How about you guys? Only 2 1/2 weeks till the new year & 180-ville!!!

WOW... I am up for the cardio challenge... not sure I can make the 250 minutes per week. My personal goal is 200 a week... and I've not been very consistant.

But that is a great challenge... I REALLY want to see the 80s by January 1st!

How about a cardio challenge? How about 250 minutes of cardio each week, until New's Year Day? Is that too high or too low?

The other week I was in Miami in the clutches of an overfeeding Jewish Grandmother... (not mine, but she likes to feed you no matter who you are!)

I'm teetering on the edge of deciding here... I'm at 194 now, and we're already a week into the month. I will also be in Florida from Xmas Day until the 7th of January, and thus will be away from the scale I normally use. I'll also be away from my usual exercise resources and in the clutches of an overfeeding Greek mother.

COLLIEMOM1-

I do allow myself treats, but I just make sure I track them and count them in my daily calories. This helps me to not go overboard. My problem this last week was just eating eating eating and not tracking anything, or not being honest in my tracking. More importantly, not paying attention to my nutrient & water intake. I can really feel the difference when I get too much sodium or too little water!

Today is going better though. Just taking it one meal at a time!

Dora,
I have found that you have to allow occassional treats or binges happen. (I learned that the hard way. I lost a lot of weight last year, but had accomplished it by allowing myself NONE of my favorite treats. When I lost my motivation, I fell off the wagon...hard.) Don't worry too much about an occassional lapse, just start over. Good luck!

30 Day Shred is a circuit training video by Jillian Michaels, one of the trainers on the Biggest Loser.
It has 3 levels and you do each level for 10 days in a row or until it gets easier. There are three circuits on each level, each circuit has 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, and 1 minute of abs. There is also a warm up and cool down before/after each level. I made it thru level 2, but never moved on to 3. I am going to start over tonight. I feel it is a GREAT workout and really kicks my butt for only being 26 minutes long.

Well I have been wanting to start C25K, but the cold weather is seriously hurting my motivation. I also had a rough night last night... got very emotional and binged, so now I am up to 196.8.

I think I have the house to myself tonight so I will start over on the 30 Day Shred and maybe look On Demand for some new exercise videos.

I mainly need to get my eating back on track and stop letting my emotions determine what I eat.

180 ville has been my fantasy goal for some time now.
But Thanksgiving has undone all my work for the past several months.

I need to get on Biggest Loser to get there by Jna. 1.

My personal goal is to get there by Jan. 5, my birthday.

At 192 you are so close to moving on! I got down to 193 once... but then I went on vacation. I have been going nuts being here for 2 months, I can't imagine what a year must be like! But I think December is your month... you should be out of here in no time!

Well I have been stuck in 190-ville since OCTOBER and I am dying to get out of here... I figured there are probably some of you out there like me, so why don't we support each other here so we can take the water taxi to 180-ville together on New Years Eve? It would be great to start the new year in a new town...
