There are several opportunities for you to be able to find a specific buddy that you can check in with, and keep track of. Some people find it easier to keep their 'Sparkbuddies' at a low amount - that way they can check in on those people all the time. The different places you might find helpful are:
1. Sparkteams. Check out the different types of Sparkteams and find one that fits you perfectly. This team here is to show you what the team system can be like - but we don't expect this team to be a perfect match for you. Take a search through the different teams, and check them on some of your interests... www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups.asp
2. Sparkpages. Spark actually just started a new idea where on the main page of Sparkpages (which if you haven't set one up for yourself yet, I highly recommend!), Spark will actually recommend different members that you might want to become 'Sparkbuddies' with. It can be helpful to see some of the people who have the same goals as you, or are in your age group.www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_home.asp
Otherwise, you can search different Sparkpages via that page yourself, or when seeing people posting on the message boards, you can check out their Sparkpages by clicking on the 'Sparkpage' button on their icon.
3. Success Stories. This is where Spark keeps some of the people who have made it to their goals - and some even beyond them. Some of these people's stories and Sparkpages can really bring you up when you are down, and I've been known to find a Sparkbuddy in them as well.www.sparkpeople.com/community/success_stor
I tend to go with 'The More the Merrier' side of Buddies, so while I do check in on my friends as much as I can - I'm probably not the best person to come track you down when you haven't shown up. But take a look at some of these links and see what you can find! Good luck!

“Cat: Where are you going?
Alice: Which way should I go?
Cat: That depends on where you are going.
Alice: I don’t know.
Cat: Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.”
