The weather here is so inconsistant, warm and sunny one day and then 5cm snow the next. My teenage daughter and I have signed up for an indoor kickboxing class. It is a great way to spend time together and we are both improving our fitness. To be honest, I think we both really enjoy hitting eachother as well...a good way to purge our frustrations from the week!

Cheers

Woo Hoo! Almost a full week of drinking 8 glasses of water a day.

On top of that, I mowed the front lawn & did 1.5 hours of deep house cleaning.

Giving myself & my allergies a break right now.

Haven't done any dancing yet, but did get some toe touches and sit-ups in during this past week. I have also been so much more diligent about getting about 4 glasses of water a day in. About time to push that number up.

I really enjoy dancing to the radio. I just need to put it back on my priority list.

Going to continue to put getting 10 minutes of exercise 5 days a week as my main challenge goal.

Make getting exercise in a goal where I must do that before logging on the computer to play games.

Blessings,
Amanda, RN

In TN this last weekend in March, we are having scattered showers, at times some high winds, cool to cold temperatures & cloudy weather. On top of that, there is more than enough pollen and other allergens floating around to make it difficult for those of us with allergies to spend much time outside. This is definitely not the kind of weather I want to get out and exercise in.

With spring well announcing itself in some parts of the northern hemisphere & winter not quite seeming to be over in other parts, what are some ways that you exercise when the outside weather is not cooperating with your fitness plans?

Each week, take at least one day to practice an activity that does not depend on the weather outside. Share your ideas and experiences with us, so that we may build off each otherís success.
