This challenge has been so good for me! Thank you to all who have put it together! It has helped me stretch myself in areas I hadn't pushed myself before! I am going on from this to the bootcamp challenge, and I have you all to thank for the courage to do so!

It has been so much fun completing this challenge. I was really falling behind with the holiday season and ended up gaining a few pounds during that time frame due to my poor eating choices and lack of exercise. I lost 5 pounds this month which is soo awesome! Is there a February challenge, if so where do I sign up?

Involving the entire family is a great plan. I have my son tracking food and exercise and he has become more aware of the good habits that need to be used for a lifetime. I do not set limits on either because he is only 9 but the understanding is so very valuable. I am glad you are enjoying the challenge

I started Spark three weeks ago..Tracking is just what I needed..Practice makes perfect..two days I was over in my calories but by numbers of 70 calories to 90 calories..In the past it would have been higher than that..
Love the challenges on here. Comments and compliments are coming my way..Weight loss is not drastic but people can see difference per the exercise..Hurt my calf muscle..Was too overzealous with squats and eliptical one day.. I am a massage therapist so the three did not combine well.. Too much overextending..The moral of the story a little goes along way and burnout is bad..Lol
I wanted to say to SMCCARO1 that because its a healthy lifestyle it screams anyone can do it..Its good to hear your daughters are following the lead to track food and exercise

I told myself this year I would try different exercises. I think my body got used to the same exercise program (walking, pilates, elliptical). So far I have added cardio dancing (which I love) and more weight resistance (hand weight) workouts and I am sweating more. My husband and I also use the Sparks website which is very helpful. Whenever I add new foods, I add it to the database and he can download it to his favorites.

I feel really good about how I did during this month! I've done more exercise than I was. I can tell a difference since I added some exercise to the days where I wasn't previously doing anything when I didn't go to the gym.
My daughters have also gotten on the band wagon. They are tracking what they eat and how much exercise they are doing. Hopefully this will help them develop good habits early on in their lives.
