From the file labeled "Better Late Than Never" - I joined this challenge in January. Of 2012. I got bogged down early in Week 4 - the two-a-days on the videos is what did it, if I remember correctly. Every week when I'd get the team summary email I'd think "Gee, I should really get back to this and finish it" - but somehow never did. I've spent the past several days on a working vacation on my own, with a fair amount of free time. Rather than vegging out in front of the TV or computer the whole time, it suddenly occurred to me - if not now, then when? So I got down to business and finished the challenge, 2+ years late emoticon And it's funny - those videos weren't as unsurmountingly hard as I remember them...

Finished this challenge yesterday and received my trophy. Yay!! I exercise regularly but wasn't consistent with strength training. Thanks to this challenge I have found that I actually enjoy it ! Plan to continue this as it makes me feel so much better! emoticon

I finished yesterday. I liked that this made me work out, but I was getting bored with the videos. This last week I was doing two videos a day and none the next. I was much more intense on my cardio as I have recently started the couch to 5K program (just completed week 2, but did it 2x as I did not feel ready to move on). I feel stronger and I have lost a couple of pounds.

Due to interruptions (vacay and some unpleasantness, too) I had to put off this final week. I didn't give up, tho. I came back and continued from where I had left off. I haven't been very happy with myself about how I did with this. But, I at least did it. I hope to take away from this that I will now include ST back into my daily routine. I had done that for awhile last year & then stopped (I don't remember why I stopped?) Anyway, here I am again...starting up the ST habit again. I hope to continue this. My next challenge I will do for myself is to continue on with the 28 day plan in Coach Nicole's new DVD. I had purchased that at the beginning of starting this team challenge.

I bought the 28-Day Boot Camp DVD by Coach Nicole so I can continue my own
personal challenge.I haven't lost a lot of weight but Sparkpeople have definitely helped
me with my food choices, my confidence, my morale. thank you Sparkpeople.

I'm not at my finish line but this challenge really made me get serious about tracking what I ate and my workouts.

I think it really helped alot.. I still have a little ways to go but I'm on the way!!

Lost 14 lbs. Exercised a minimum of 10 minutes everyday. Usually 45 minutes. Logged on and recorded food, exercise, and progress everyday. 5 fruits & veggies. 8 water minimum. It feels great! Made new Spark Friends!

I'm an eternal optimist. I found the Secret; the Eat to Live plan.
In 2015 I will be a Success Story !
I will be wearing that Little Black Dress December 31, 2015.

Despite some bumps in the road, i.e. injuring my knee three weeks in emoticon , I actually finished. I'm definitely fitter and stronger than I was to begin with, and it's gotten me into a good routine. AND I can now do 45 minutes of TaeBo without a break - woohoo!

I finished on Sunday but I have been sick since Saturday. My asthma is making it impossible for cardio and very little energy for toning videos. i am not done or quitting; only letting my body recover so I can exercise well. I will be starting the 28 day bootcamp officially tomorrow. :) Here is to all of us who completed this commitment to ourselves!!

Well, January is finished, however, although this four weeks is over, I am not finished. In my opinion, we can never call this journey "finished". Can't believe it's been a month already. I have only lost one pound but my clothes are fitting better and I am I more energized and ready to head into the next 4 weeks. I will keep pushing myself and using my short term goals to meet my ultimate long term goal. I am excited to keep going and looking forward to my rewards!!!. Thanks team for all your motivation!!

Started at 215 to start - Started with SparkPeople at 208 -
Re-started with SparkPeople at 208.4:

Goals and Rewards:

When I reach 200, I will treat myself to an ice cream cone.

When I reach 175, I will buy myself a new outfit.

When I reach 150, I will treat myself to a professional massage.

When I reach my goal of 140, I will buy myself a whole new wardrobe.

Today is my last day and couldnt wait to get weighed, lost 7lb which is amazing as I had a very bad week 3. Discovered it is my weekends that let me down so this past weekend I ate on a diet all the time, no treats, no alcohol, and it has worked. Will learn from that. Heaven knows why I behave different at weekends, I am retired (early) so it is not a celebration but I still treat it as I did when I worked. No more.

Finished Sunday! Woo Hoo! Thought I was done, but found I had missed video 3 of week 4, so I did that Sunday. I loved this challenge. Learned some new techniques. Loved pilates, and will do some of coach Nicole's videos now. Also, to keep the momentum going I signed up for the Official 10-Minute Daily Exercise Streak Challenge.

This was a good kickstart to the new year and helped me to sneak in a little more exercise to my day even when I was tired. The short segments made me more likely to do something as opposed to nothing on my tired days. Hope I can keep this up and lose a little weight.

I am so proud of myself for finishing the January Jumpstart Workout Challenge. It helped me get back on track for my weight loss, I had been in a slump not losing any weight for awhile. But now I see there are lots of different exercises I can do that are fun and challenging to do and also keep me from getting bored. I exceeded my fitness minutes goal for the month, and eventhough I didn't eat very healthy, I lost a little weight!

With 2 children (2 1/2 and 7 months) it's easy to put off the workout , but I was actually able to get 500 fitness minutes in! I feel great!

This was so great and actually fun! I feel like I paid more attention to my choices and made better fitness decisions because of this challenge and during the first three weeks I really feel like I made progress.

While this last few days was rough (I had surgery) I know that as I heal I can get right back to where I was and move ahead.

This challenge was helpful to give me the extra motivation to be more consistent with my workouts. Even though I often used different workouts, I was getting the cardio and strength training in. Time to see if I can keep up the motivation going into the rest of the year.

Well, I am done. I am glad I found the video's. They are wonderful. I really enjoy them. It helps change up things when I don't have much time. I have done OK on this challenge, but wish I would have done more. But, it was a good kick start, and now, I can keep going. I found that I can find 10-15 minutes each day for just ME!!!!! I needed that!!!!

This was a great challenge! It helped me realize that I can make enough time to exercise and stay on track.. If I can do it for 4 weeks then I can continue doing it! This challenge has kept me motivated and I'm so glad I participated! :) emoticon emoticon
