It's progress just to realize that you don't have to take the "all-or-nothing" approach! Congrats on your progress!

I agree with NewKaren 43.

Rest your body if you are sick and double up the videos on another day...that's respectable and you can still answer affirmative to completing the week...Everyone gets sick sometimes and sometimes pushing through isn't the best thing for your body. Let it rest and give the energy to fighting the crud and THEN get back on track...life is going to happen no matter what challenge you are in, on SP or in life...Best to you! I hope you feel better so you can get back on track...

I am glad that you have done well in the challenge and learned new things about fitness and yourself. I think they really have the challenges to make us get outside our comfort zone and try something new and YOu did that so you are a WINNER!!!

I think that a lot of us WANT to push ourselves to do more than sometimes we should or can handle.. It's good to challenge yourself, but ultimately we have to listen to what our bodies are telling us.. I really do appreciate this challenge for helping me see where I could up the ante a bit on my cardio and weight training.. even if I never win a prize - what I have gained from this challenge is immeasurable :)

You're doing so well! I stopped doing the videos the first week. I really enjoyed them, but I got sick, and I realized that I was pushing myself trying to do that AND the cardio when until Dec 31st I was following my SparkPeople recommendation of 10 min exercise three times a week! Too much, too soon! So I'm with you: emoticon to you for allowing you to take care of yourself--and sometimes that means REST!

It's a curse really.. i am only a perfectionist in certain areas of my life unfortunately.. I was particularly upset yesterday b/c for the first time since January 1 - i missed doing a video .. I have been ill for the last few days and pushed thru it.. I even did Taebo - yesterday, but by the time I made it to the evening - when i was going to do my video - I felt like hammered crap. I asked my husband "Am I a quitter if I just go to bed instead of doing video".. he told me no - and I went to bed.. I got up this morning feeling a bit better and realized - I have for the last 21 days did AT LEAST 1 video (often times 2 or 3) EVERY SINGLE DAY.. NOW that is not the actions of a quitter.. sometimes we have to allow our bodies to repair themselves and not beat ourselves up for missing one day.. especially when we are ill... I am still very proud of myself for what I have accomplished (including losing 8 lbs since Jan 1) - and you should be too :)
