For your concern about tracking the video- I believe that any strength video you do has the link at the bottom of the page but for all the cardio videos you have to search in the cardio tracker. This is so you can track the total minutes of the cardio workout. But just like everyone said, as long as you are still working on the challenge you should be fine even if you didn't start on the 1st.

I started one day late. However I am caught up and one day ahead now but still won't receive a letter or be able to access my week 4 link until tomorrow or Tuesday (as has been the case). However, someone was kind enough to post the list of what is hoped for from us for week 4. I continued on even though it might eliminate me because I started that one day late. I am still ahead of the game as I did complete week 3have completed Week 4 day 2 video so far. (not done yet ) working on my treadmill minutes I do not know if I can do as many videos as they want. Here is my point! I plan to finish and do what I can within the rules and better, to the best of my ability. I think that makes me a winner whether I get a physical prize or not.
My LONG TERM GOAL is to finally reach my weight goal by April and to strengthen my body, mind and spirit and keep it that way.
Thanks - I went back and reviewed the rules and it says between January 1 and the 31 so I am good. Just hit a panic this morning. This is definitely one of my challenges to overcome - this perfectionist tendency - it gets me every single time. Thanks for taking pity on me and responding.
When you first joined the team was your start date according to sending your emails, but challenge wise as long as you get the cardio minutes and are doing some videos, I think you qualify for the contest. There is a contest post that does explain it. I went ahead and started early, as I know there are always days I miss, and so far I am not up to week 3, day 2. And yes, I have missed a few days of videos...
3/31/12 Trailbreaker half marathon 13.1 miles in 3 hours 13 minutes 4/20/13 Neighborhood Watch 5K 39:17.6 10/5/13 5K Grace Pet Fest 38:47.6 12/1/13 Secret City Half Marathon around 3 hours and 4 minutes 4/19/14 Butterflies for Hope 5K for Lupus 39:23.8 (I hurt my back a few days before, and though it was my first official 5K with some jogging, my back hurt, so was very slow.) 2/7/15 Hearts & Soles 5K, San Jose 34:50 (Recovering from a cold and wet day.)
Okay - So I am an anal rule follower. I thought this challenge began on January 1st (a Sunday) and thus am only on day 4 of week three. This morning. I get the email that I should be starting week 4. Am I seriously not going to be able to complete the challenge and get my trophy because I started on January 1? I will still finish within the month (by January 28). I have fastidiously done the challenge so far, but now am concerned I messed up before I even started.
YES I know the the focus is healthy habits and work out routine etc. But, the challenge appealed to me on being an organized, dated (I'm a calendar girl what can I say) scheduled.
Why was it called the January challenge if it was going to start in the middle of a holiday week in December when many of us were still traveling and did not have our brains wrapped around a regular schedule for anything?
This has been my one concern with the couple of challenges I've done here. The information is not always clear and it isn't always easy to follow. I did the virtual 5K in November and really REALLY had to search as to where to record it and get the credit. This one has been easier in knowing what to do (love the emails) but navigating to the different components, recording the workouts (the first video should also be linked from the bottom just as the strength ones are) and now the confusion in dates really messes with my mind.
