Well I was away all of last week on holiday. I did the Sunday cardio video workout last Saturday before I left, so today I decided to catch up on all the other videos I'd missed due to lack of Internet. So I have just done an entire week of JJS workout this morning! 1 hour and 38 minutes worth! I feel like jelly now!
This does include today's cardio video as well, so finished up week 3 and started week 4 just like that!
I also upped my daily cardio last week and did a lot more walking than I usually do, it did help being on holiday. I also did about 1 hour of Taichi one day. Plus I was in the sea swimming most days, although did not exactly do lengths, it is challenging standing and mucking around in the surf.

K :o)

Mirrors, mirrors on the wall, I will be slim in no time at all!

You can't fail if you never give up!

Halfway through week 4 and my fitness minutes have increased. I just bought the 28 boot camp DVD and want to start that next week when I complete this challenge. This challenge has helped me get back on track after the holidays and I am hoping to meet my goal this year!

Today is the first day of week 4 and I plan on finishing this challenge strong by doubling up the videos and increasing my weights.

This has been a great challenge, even though I've been modifying due to my ankle. Now that I have been cleared to use my elliptical and do other low impact exercises, i'll have some new exercises I can add in.

Long term goal:

Continue this momentum, and get back to my exercise DVD's and work back up to my former fitness level in cardio and ST. I plan to continue to add in some of the videos from this challenge as well.

Set Mini-Challenges for myself as well!

Hi, day 2 of week 4. I did not lose any weight this week :( Makes me a little sad, but I know it will come off eventually. Diligent about tracking every morsel of food I'm putting into my mouth, drinking more than enuf water. Switched to hot tea with lemon instead of my normal coffee with cream and sugar 3 days this past week and will shoot for 4-5 this week. Wean myself off it! Like several people below mentioned, I've been doubling up on videos already, so will continue to do that. I also increased hand weights from 3 to 5 lbs and switched up my cardio from Walking Away The Pounds to The Biggest Loser DVD's. Here's to an awesome final week of this challenge and I know I will see some weight loss too!

I'm so glad to have discovered a few new-to-me Spark videos during this challenge. I can really notice the difference all the toning has made.

Long-term goal is to run a couple of races this spring/summer - two 5Ks, an 8K and a 10 K are looking possible schedule-wise.

Blessings, Michelle

Just realized I have only four days to go to the finish line! I'll do my second video later today; glad it was a short one, I'm fighting off a cold and am not feeling great. I don't want to overdo today, but it's gorgeous out, and I may go for a short walk at slower than usual pace.

I can see that using the videos will become a regular part of my fitness tracking in the future.

For my long-term exercise goals: I am going to continue with everything I've started doing since this challenge began -- the extra 10 minutes of cardio, strength training videos every day, 2 extra stength training videos (I chose to do the 20 minute resistance band video) and now repeating videos.

I will continue tracking my food and eating vegetables and fruit.

Week4, day 3
upper body workout done and then I did the fit, firm and fired up 45 minute total bldy workout.
Here are my goals:
*Morning exercise has become something I really look forward to. So I am definitely going to do a February Challenge. I think I will do the new dvd 28 Day bootcamp.
*Afternoon exercise (walk) enters my mind quite often and when it hasn't been frigid I have gone out with the dog. I'd like that to become a habit also.
*I know I have to track my food, and I have been really slack in doing that. I know it only takes about 2-3 minutes a couple times a day, but it is feeling tedious! I am getting all of my water in and actually crave it! Yeah!
*I am still keeping my weight loss goal, 15 more pounds, but it is stuck, stuck, stuck. (hhhmmmm, Food tracker?!!)
I have the tools and the knowlege. Now just do it!!

It only takes a spark, to get a fire going!
I'll shout it from the mountain tops!
I want the world to know!
I want to pass it on!

Week4, day 2
Massive headache yesterday so just did a mild workout with Jane Fonda. Today I will get in 2 Coach Nicole cardios, and the day 2 workout. Getting lazy on my food tracker...naughty girl! I'll try better the rest of the week. Getting discouraged about the scale, but I am so much stronger and have so much more stamina than I did 3 weeks ago. That is what matters.

Today will be day 2 of week 4. So far, I have felt I have done a great job with all the requirements. One of them in week 4 is to formulate a plan to follow after the challenge. My sciatica has grown progressively worse over the past week, so my plan will be determined by my doctors recommendations. I am scheduled for a third epidural next week. If it is successful, I will resume my previous plan of strength training daily alternating upper, lower and core with a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio daily. I will also plan to return to the gym for silver sneakers twice weekly and I would like to start pilates 3 times a week. If I can't do this, I will layout a plan for more upper body, perhaps chair exercises and simple core strength and some stationery bike riding. I do try to work through the pain, but do not want to cause any damage to my back. 3 back surgeries have been enough and I do not want more!

Today I did Days 4 & 5 & I can tell a difference as I can do the more intense levels. Still can't walk on the treadmill due to my ankle but I was able to manage a Kettlebell workout, an aerobic video & another 30 min of Zumba.

started week four of the challenge yesterday....so far so good...am going to amp up exercises but not today.....going back to bed today, though I did get in my exercises for the day.....and will certainly get in at least 7 freggies. already ate 1/2 banana and 1/2 cup frozen blackberries in my oatmeal for breakfast and will eat an apple later, so I will have at least 3 fruits...maybe more.....and at least 4 veggies....before the day is over...

hnope every one has a fantastic day......a seriously healthy but funfilled day.:)

emoticon Started Week 4 today, have done one video, will do it again later today. I can't believe how much I'm enjoying this AND that I've stuck with it. I missed one day when I was exhausted and needed to sleep in, but I made it up the next day. I was boggled when in Week 2, it said to do 2 extra videos. Now it looks not only do-able, but easy! There are still things I can't do they way Coach Nicole does, but I am able to more and better. The best part is the dropping numbers on the scale and the "new" clothes from my closet that fit!

Week 4! I can hardly believe I'm here. I can't tell you how many Spark challenges I have joined and how few I have actually finished. I don't have any weight to lose, but I do have issues with commitment to exercise. During week one I didn't dare articulate my goal to see this challenge through, but for whatever reason my motivation stuck this time.

So for this week it's track food (already do every day), make sure we're getting many servings of freggies, double up on the videos 3 times this week, and amp up the cardio we do and establish a long term exercise goal. Got it.

Long term goal: Continue with TKD classes (of course) and begin my day (Monday through Friday) with a Spark video and a half hour on the treadmill. Motivation is not weight loss but rather a way to incorporate movement into my day to increase strength, endurance, and give myself a healthy and satisfying way to wake up in the morning.

Off to hit video number 1.

Big shout out to all the Jumpstart team who are still going strong!

Chellie

This week I have been fighting a cold but feeling better, just a bit tired. I have over 1,000 minutes of fitness exercise this month (yea!) and keeping up with the challenge holding on by my fingertips.
I have lost 2 pounds so far but it seems it was when I was eating bad things and exercising less. I think my body thought I was in starvation mode.

This fourth week- I hope to keep up with the challenge, track my food, eat my veggies.
