Just one more video workout, and I'm done! I'm going to move on to Coach Nicole's TOTAL BODY SCULPTING dvd. I did not lose a lot of weight, but I did take a couple inches off my waist and hips, so it's a good jumpstart!

I just about hated every minute of this and am so glad I'm done. Although I think the challenge got across the lessons it meant to, and I will use those going forward in a routine that suits me better.

Yay! I finished the challenge! It ended up being a six week challenge for me due to illness and my crazy work schedule, but I've lost TEN pounds since I started the challenge, and fifteen since December. The 28 day challenge has really gotten me back in the habit of regular exercise and tracking my nutrition. It is exactly what I need right now to keep me accountable, entertained, and feeling like I am accomplishing something. I love checking off those boxes every week. I've set a goal to accomplish this challenge seven times this year, so I better start over right now! Keep Sparking!

An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day. ---H.D.Thoreau

Had a busy weekend this past week and busy last few days, on top of a downed internet line, so of course made some excuses and got behind. Today I heard that evil little voice in the back of my mind making me want to just quit, but I ignored it and got moving today. Only have two more days to finish on this challenge and I'm not giving up! This challenge has defiantly "jumpstarted" my workout and I've learned at the very least to not throw in the towel, even when it seems so easy too. I've also learned to forgive myself more by not ruining my day or wasting my time when I slip up. Rather than get angry or give up, I say to myself that I've made a mistake but I still can keep going. This is a first for me and with those two forms of progress alone, I am very thankful for this challenge. Next month I'll make more intense goals for myself and the next month too. But as long as I keep going, each baby step will take me closer to my goal. Congrats to all of you have completed your last days and encouragement to those of us who are almost there! :)

January Jumpstart really jumpstarted me! I moved from doing workouts first thing to get them out of the way to enjoying exercise - a new experience for me! I no longer do it first thing. My January resolution was to form the habit of exercising, which I did through Jumpstart.
February's new habit is get down to prayer and Bible study first thing if possible, and anyway in quality time before I'm too tired to concentrate. So I now exercise later. I've moved on to 28 day bootcamp, and am in week 3 of that. I've also started a 5k training programme, which gets me puffing but leaves me feeling energised.
I shall be saying goodby and thank you to everyone in the jumpstart team as I move on to the next stage in my journey. I shall probably continue to use the videos, which I have downloaded on to my ipad. They were hard work, so I guess they are worth continuing to work at!

well I finished my fourth week, I did learn that i could do more than i thought, I just had to stop more often than most, and ice my knees afterward. where previously i would just stop and rest. I did manage to go a little longer each week. in fact i can stay on a bike for almost 30 min straight, before my foot feels numb. ''yay ( i started at 5 min. in week 1)

Very pleased with my improved stamina. I am up to 2.5 miles per day and seeing real changes in the tone of my arms and calves. This was a good challenge. I have enjoyed it, even when time was super-crunched.

Almost done with week 4. I replayed day 1, day 4 and day 6 twice those days. Due to knee injury had to rework my workouts but still managed to burn almost as much calories and still work out each day. I plan on keeping up with my exercise routine. I have so much more energy and even my self esteem is better. Loving my workouts and want to keep going till all my weight is gone.

It's day 3 of week 4 for me and I'm feeling great. For my long term goal, I want to keep this momentum going. This challenge really helped me re-establish a solid exercise routine and I hope to extend my "week 4" habits indefinitely.

Last day of week 4. Woohoo! Took my workouts to a new level by doing Zumba more than every and putting all but 1 toning video on repeat this week. My long term fitness goals are to run a marathon, get my husband to run with me just once, and get some type of physical activity in with our son at least twice a week.

I finish week 4 Challenge on Friday 2.8.2013. Lost a total of 5lbs.I am happy and proud of myself. I will stick with the exercises I am currently doing walking on the track 4 days for 1 hour (3miles) and taking Zumba on Thursday. Yesterday I started doing exercise for my belly and back at home. I just found a 10 minute video working with the exercise ball that I will start doing it at home. Yesterday I accomplish my goal of cleaning the craft closet. It looks Beautiful! I did it while listening and dancing to Salsa music:) Today we have 4 inches of snow, and my family played in it and then we did the Wii challenge for exercise. I hope everyone is having a Fabulous weekend.

I'm almost there! I'm in week 4 and I feel so much better than when I started 4 weeks ago. My feet don't hurt as much, my clothes are becoming looser and my sleeping is well that I'm not sure about. I've been dreaming so much more than usual so I think my mind is encouraged!.
I'm so happy to be on my program. I need to exercise more but I'll get there. Thanks Nicole for inspiring us. emoticon

Day 5 of week four done!! Awesome workout day today because my P90X video was X stretch which I never did before yet and it felt awesome. Totally needed an hour of stretching, ahhhh :) Also repeated the chair core challenge twice and really felt it. Going to walk for 20 minutes later today doing errands rather than driving my car a few blocks. It's sunny outside, a great day and it's not even 10am yet. Keep on keeping on everybody, we're almost there!

Just started week 4 yesterday and having knee problems. Guess I will have to take it slower and find lower impact exercises till it heals. I love the high impact and will miss it. I can do my strength training seated. Just have to find some cardio that fits too. Not giving up yet.

Finished day 4 of week 4. For my cardio did the P90X kickboxing video and felt like quitting half way into, but told myself I'd keep going until the next break and lo and behold I ended up finishing the entire video. I'm going to keep that attitude from here on out, 10 more minutes can lead to an entire hour and if not, hey an extra ten minutes. Did the spark videos too. Just going to take a 10 minute walk this afternoon with my dog and I'm done for the day. Also just read week 4 action steps and seen that it was asked that we repeat atleast 3 spark videos this week. I havn't done it yet, but will for the rest of the week. Ready to see the results and get the weigh on on Sunday :)

Day 28 - Finished the challenge today and I am so proud of myself and all I have accomplished this month. I lost 7 lbs and completed over 1500 fitness minutes. Woo Hoo! For Feb I will continue with my cardio because that has been working for me and commit to doing 30 minutes of strength training 3 to 4 times a week.

Day 2 of Week 4, it's 9am, and I already finished my workouts. I'll be honest and say that I missed Saturday-Monday. Things got busy, I made excuses and it didn't happen. But the great thing is I didn't let a few missed days stop me. In all honesty I'm burning a heck of alot more calories than even asked for in this challenge with P90X alone, I reached my calorie target last week with a whopping 500 extra burned, so I'm not going to let 3 days let me down. I'm really proud of myself for getting this far in the challenge because this is the first time in the 5 years that I had a Spark account that I got past week 2 or 3. I always threw in the towel and got ready to quit. Well now I refuse, I'm beating this challenge and I'm moving on to another one.I'm finally realizing that it's not about looking a certain way or even what's on the scale, but is about incorporating exercise into my daily life for my whole body system and health. This is really a first time of viewing fitness this way and the intention of becoming active is a whole lot worthwhile in comparison to pants size. I finally have tons of energy each day, I feel good, and I am able to keep up with my toddler. That is worth more than any sort of selfish desire to look a certain way than I can ponder. Good luck to every one the rest of this week and congrats to all of those who are finishing.

Missed the first 2 days of this week so it'll take me a bit longer, but I'm NOT giving up. There was a time when I would have done so, but now I firmly believe it's all a process, not so much a goal.

Well I finished he Challenge and ready to continue with it from this point on. With all the dbl's I put in last week it was difficult to make it to the gym let alone doing the videos. I did manage to get them done and did a couple days where I did a video more than once. Didn't have enough time to enter my food into the nutrition tracker but will continue too if and when it slows down at work. I bought the Total Body Sculpting so hoping to get a chance to work on that Wed my day off unless I need to get my taxes done. I am not sure what weight my weight was at the start of the mth but I lost at least 4 lbs. Looking forward to another challenge with this type of similiarity. Thank you sparkpeople employees for being here to help us succeed.

Week 4 started today. I walk for 1 hour on the track.3 miles and 3 more laps around. Also today I started a course on nutrition at the Y. We made Baily Jambalaya with black beans instead of the meat and spicy. We also made a healthy fruit salad. I had a lot of fun with the teachers and the 14 other ladies in the class. It was a 2 hour class that runs on Monday for 6 weeks. We cook in the class and go over nutrition. emoticon

Week 4 was tough in every aspect, but I did it...and I lost 6 pounds in the process YAY!!! Gonna find another challenge to keep this going. Its pretty much habit now to get in at least 60 minutes of workout time, not including my walk when its warm enough.

Its kind of fun to do the impossible

Wasn't able to finish the challenge tonight. After a 14 hour shift I did make it to the gym for a 45 minute work out. Been too long of a day so since tomorrow is only 10 hours will try then but have to be up early for another 12 hour shift so will have to see how tired this body is.......but will hit the gym for awhile anyway.

Finished the challenge and was excited with my measurements today! Lost an inch off my waist and a 1/2 inch off my thighs! I plan to keep with the daily workout video and will join the Daily Workout Streak Challenge, possibly the Boot camp challenge too. I have found that i really keep myself accountable when I have joined a challenge.

Week 4, day 7 finished today!

I feel great!

The January Fitness Challenge was awesome. Knowing that I did some type of exercise just about everyday is a WIN in my book! I know I will revisit some of the videos from this challenge as the 8 Minute Cardio Intervals was fantastic.

Headed to Week 1, day 3 of the 28 Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge.

I wish everyone the BEST in all of your future endeavors. CHEERS!!

I just finished my last workout of this challenge. I had been doing pretty good with cardio before the challenge and really good with nutrition (eating in my range most days, getting all the macronutrients in good proportions, eating at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies), but my strength training had been too inconsistent to really see any results. I am truly inspired to keep my strength training more consistent now, and I have even increased my weights by 3 lbs over the course of the last four weeks!

I also finally bought myself a heart rate monitor to more accurately track my cardio workouts, and I am happy I did because I have been burning far more calories than the generalized SP fitness tracker calculated. So, I also adjusted my calorie consumption and I feel far more satisfied in terms of eating and far more energized. It was definitely worth the investment.

Lastly, one thing I learned from the challenge was that (for me) it is important to keep to a schedule when working out. I have been getting up early to workout before I do anything else. It has made so much difference in how my day goes. I know not everyone can commit to that, but it has really made a difference for me!

This last week I strayed a little from the challenge as outlined-- substituted videos for ones that I felt worked me a little harder, and I skipped a day entirely partly because it was a busy day but partly because I was over on my calorie burn for the week. The last few days I've worked out a strength training schedule that I think is reasonable and that will help me build some muscle and increase my strength.

I hope everyone else here has increased their own knowledge about what works best for them and feels as motivated to keep working as I do!

Was hoping to complete the challenge tonight but after 14 hours and best get to bed cause another 14 tomorrow, just to tired. I have put in a few dbl's this past week but still managed to get to the gym 2 nights and do workout videos also. Mon. and Tues wasn't feeling my best so figured had best not push it since the rest of the week was going to be hectic. Today I wasn't feeling my best again. If I am getting some sort of a bug wish it would just get here then leave for good. Considering all the dbl's I have been putting in and still managing to exercise shows me that I am able to accomplish anything. After my 14 hrs tomorrow I will still go to the gym (if I am feeling good), then hope to finish the challenge if their is enough time before midnight. When doing the push ups was impressed with what I have achieved in it. My butt is still too high in the air and not quite prone but I can go down further and make it up again. From 4 weeks ago really impressed me so will continue with the challenge even after it is done on here. I have saved all of them so I can try to succeed over and over again. I did purchase the Total Body Sculpting, got it in the mail yesterday, but with the my working till Tues with another dbl that day will wait until Wed. my day off to check it out. Take care all and will post again when I get my challenge completed. Thank you Coach Nicole for your inspiration and loving your longer hair style, definitely suits you. Keep up the good work to my fellow sparkers and good night all. XXOOXXOOXXOO.

Today was my last day of the challenge emoticon Before the challenge, I was getting plenty of cardio, but not strength and toning. This has really helped me see the importance of a well rounded fitness program. I plan to continue using the videos at least 3 days per week.

Exercise is easier to do then trying to control my eating. I love the SP videos. My long term goal is to exercise for 60 minutes every day.

Exercise streak-do some type of exercise for 365 day- day 253

Don't think of "losing" weight. Think of "removing" it. You "lose" something carelessly. You "remove" something diliberately, with great care, because it is no longer desirable and you wish to be free of it permanently. Choose your words with care-they affect your attitude and belief system.

Although I wasn't able to stick with the program completely I did the best I could and I'm proud if myself for that. It introduced to a wealth if videos on the site and it also showed me how to incorporate at least 10 minutes if exercise a day. I really notice a change in my body. I'm ready to use these tools to loose these last 10 pounds.

This is the first challenge I've done that I really feel a sense of accomplishment. I somehow finished 5K your way, and that was a huge accomplishment, but for some reason this is more. I think it's because I am somehow feeling the need to get the fitness activity in each day. That piece to this puzzle has never been there--an inner desire to get up out of my rut and get moving.

I have tried diferent types of activities besides the walking and learned that I prefer classes over the DVDs. I thought it would be the other way around. And I also prefer outdoor activities over indoor, as long as the weather is cooperating. And i am grateful I know I will now seek out indoor activities instead of giving up or waiting until another day.

I feel fantastic!!

Day 28! I am so happy to have made it through this challenge! I am proud of myself for sticking with it and making fitness a part of my everyday routine. This challenge really showed me how easy it can be to incorporate fitness into my regular lifestyle.
As far as long-term goals, I want to continue exercising at least a little every day and I want to not be so hard on myself if life gets in the way and I am not able to work out as much as I want. The important thing for me to remember is that this is a lifestyle change and to keep moving!

Week 4 Finished! I am so excited that I finished the challenge. I actually went one day extra, today based on when I started so that I'd finish this Saturday with my goal on my Streaks Page. I did do 3 videos 2X a day this week. I am planning on starting the 28 boot-camp tomorrow to keep going with the habits. I was thinking about starting a plan on my own, but I think following another set plan for 28 days will reinforce the good habits of getting cardio and strength training!

I just finished week 4, some of the exercises I was able to go to the intermediate positions and others I still needed to stay at easiest, but through the month I stayed close to the 1200 calorie marker every day, and I met all the goals each week (except the servings of fruits and veggies). I've lost over 9lbs this month and if I can keep this up I'll reach my goal in 10 months instead of 12. Here's hoping and congratulations to everyone who worked hard on this challenge and good luck on all your goals.

emoticon I did it! Week 4...last day. I just completed 35min of cardio walking outside in 22 degree temp. Cold but truly exhilarating. I did at least 30min cardio every day this week. This challenge has helped me by not making excuses and getting motivation from my fellow Sparkers. I have officially completed this challenge and will start another one on Sunday. emoticon

Well, I started the January Jumpstart Challenge at 175, and I'm down to 163.8 today! I've lost 11 lbs! WOOHOO! I plan to keep up with this and lose another 10lbs in February! Been working out 4-5 days a week and eating really healthy! I think I could make this a lifestyle for sure!

Great work everyone & congratulations!

Working on multiple 10 lb goals, just one at a time! (7 down, 3 to go!) Just 10lbs... :)

Well I finish up the challenge with a 2 lbs loss.. I lost one lb the first and second week, and lost nothing the last 2 weeks. I am not sure if I am reaching a plato or what.. I was losing anywhere from 1- 3 lbs a week.. then I did this challenge and I have only lost 2 lbs over the month. I will keep doing some of the new exerises , but I will be going back to the exercies that were working for me.. and pray it is not plato.. I stil have 32 lbs to reach my goal for my Nephews wedding at the end of April. I wish eveyone the best on their new life style adventure.

Definitely a challenging week, but.....I've finished! Oye! It's been worth it though, lost ten pounds and feel in much better shape then when I started! Plan on continuing to do these bootcamp videos, at least four times weekly, but will change them up a bit. Thanks SP for the challenge!

Trying hard to keep up the challenge some day are hard but make up what I miss because I do feel better for the day when I get my exercise in. My long term goals is to keep up with the cardio and find video to keep up with the toning. One just has to set the mind to keep up with the exercise and you feel so much better when you do

Lots of sickness going around and it got me too, but you all have inspired me to keep going and guess what, I feel better. I think I'm sweating it out of me. That said, my long term goals are: Put God first. Hug my kids more. Simplify my life. Take one day at a time. Be positive. Move my body like God made it for and eat better until it becomes natural. Its the least I can do. Love and blessings to you all and a big thank you to the SP team.

This week has definitely been hard (in a good way)! I've been putting the daily videos on repeat and am feeling it. I am getting excited that I'm a couple of days away from finishing this challenge. I feel stronger and more confident about sticking with a more rigorous exercise routine.

I'm going to stay focused and emoticon emoticon

Only three days to go before completing my 4 weeks- have been doing the videos through 4 times this week which has been a challenge for time but well worth the effort . I do feel stronger and my muscles have that "good" ache that tells me I am making progress. I treated myself to a massage this week. Tomorrow I get on the scale and will see if I have lost any weight. Whatever that outcome, I am glad I took this challenge..it has given me some variety in my exercise program and made me accountable to do the videos every day. emoticon
