Finished the challenge today!!! Already I see improvement in my endurance with exercise! that is such a positive for me. My body is shrinking too!! woot woot!!!

My long term goal is to keep trying new things in cardio and strength to fully round out a head to toe transformation.

Not sure which challenge will be doing next need to still look through them. Love this site so much to offer and do.

I'm sore. LOL. But it's getting much easier to get my 10K steps in daily. My longterm goal is to maintain 10K steps daily, to stretch daily, and to take my vitamins/meds daily. I think those alone will help maintain my quality of life.

Took 3 days off to heal my sore body. Planned on finishing the January Challenge tonight but my Adobe and Shockwave are causing me problems. So was hoping to finish to get more involved in the 28 day. I never did get the email on that which can't figure out why I am not receiving them. Didn't last mth either. I went through my account preferences and everything is checked. By the time I messed around with the January Challenge it cut into my exercising time so only managed 18 minutes with the 28 day challenge. I also walked so it is fine. My job is very active as well so I am on the move most of the time there. Keep up the good work all.

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

The nice part about living in a small town: When you don't know what you're doing, someone else always does.

Well I am done with Day 7 of week 4. Finished yesterday. Just forgot to check it.
It wasn't too bad. Just still having trouble with the planks. Will practice the Cobra.
It might help me get to were I can do those planks. Love Yoga! Have a good day!

I am on Day1 Week 4. My husband ended up in the hospital ( He's doing OK now) and I am
5 days behind. However, I picked myself up and did at least something yesterday and today.
This morning I did the cardio interval video. I plan on cross country skiing after work. I even put my skis in the car so I don't have any excuses. I love being outside so that is guaranteed to be a great calorie burner.

I am upping my exercise, although not sure if going to an aerobics class for an hour can be counted into the challenge somehow. I did do the actual challenge seated exercise as well yesterday, and today I'm back to work, so will do some of the desk ones. They are great! I like being able to get a little stretching in during the day.
This has been motivational, teaching me little ways to fit in some extra movement.

Never give up!

Too excited not to post!!!!! I just tracked my measurements and MUCH to my surprise I have lost a total of 4.5" between waist, hip, thigh, upper arm and calf AND 5.6 lb over the last 30 days!!!

Well if that doesn't motivate me to get on that tread mill again today, I don't know what will!

Wow! I stayed with it for 4 weeks. Only a couple days off on the exercise but I tracked my food every day! I feel great and plan to continue on tracking food and exercise. Trying to decide on which challenge to start next. Any suggestions.....
I will continue with this challenge for the next 2 days and start a new one on the 1st :)

Today is my last day and tomorrow I fly to Florida. The scale still seems to be stuck (I weigh on Sundays and Wednesdays) but I'm happy with my challenge results of a 3-pound loss (5 since Christmas) and several inches, including an inch off my waist. Love feeling that difference when I zip my jeans. Those toning exercises WORK!

It won't be so easy to do the videos while I'm traveling during February. But I got a new exercise band to take in my suitcase. I'll also be doing plenty of walking and lots of that will be on the beach! emoticon

SPARKLINGME, WTG on your great progress and on hanging in here on the challenge and the threads! Thanks for encouraging us as a team during the past weeks!

I'm all caught up & doing more than usual, now! Seems like several people have not commented in week 4. I wonder if they are still going for it!? I have not released any weight, will measure soon, my clothes fit great!!!!

Did Wk4 for Day 1 yesterday and Wk4 D2 tonight. I also did 2 15 mins. of Cardio in a Crunch. We need this put on the exercise tracker. Actually the only one of the Fit Firm Cardio is the Core Crunch. Please add more that are not on here to the Exercise tracker. I had to figure out another way to put it in there. I also got my walking in and extra hard cleaning. Keep up the good work all.
PS Pls update the exercise tracker.

Joyce, I weighed in this morning (I do Sundays and Wednesdays) and no loss on the scale. But I measured (do that once a month usually on the 1st) and am happy with the loss of inches. I'll take ANY loss! These toning videos really do make a difference!

I'm going to be traveling from Thursday for most of February or I would repeat the challenge, too. Exercise won't be tough as I'll be in FL and fairly close to the beach for walks and pole-walking. I also pack my exercise band when I travel for quick workouts in small spaces like hotel rooms and my friends' little guest room. But eating and tracking will be a challenge. Gotta get a plan!

That CRAB Pilates move is a killer! emoticon (I think this a shrimp but that's the closest emoticon I could find!)

I unchecked my weekly boxes and starting over again tomorrow. Today would have been last day of challenge, I felt I didn't put my whole self into it. I didn't lose but I was excited this morning to learn I lost inches so that was encouraging for me to start fresh and really put some effort into it this time.

Don't know about you girls, but I am glad I have a desktop and a laptop because when I need to do any floor workouts like Day 5 -10-Minute Pilates Thigh Workout I can't do it when the video is on the desk and I am on the floor, lol.

I have just 5 more days of my goal to get in 10,000 steps a day for 21 days and am trying to decide if I should add more steps or ramp up the intensity and fitness minutes for my next goal.

Have I lost a day somewhere? Should be w4d6. Anyway, did video this AM though I sure didn't want to. But neither did I want to get behind on next to last day. On Mar 1st, I start a different challenge after doing this one for Jan & Feb.

W4D1 - Even though the temperature here dipped down to 39 I still went out for my run/walk and did 38 minutes. I also did a stretching video today.

Although I won't be making my weight loss goals I have lost inches and I'm happy with that change. I look forward to finishing this challenge and plan on looking for another challenge to help me keep my momentum going!

I completed the videos but only had one day where I was able to do one twice. I plan on working through them again. This is my weekend off so hoping to dbl up on the videos then. Depending if my son and his friends show up again and if they go away during the day so I have alone time to do these. Today I completed the last two days and did a bonus video: 10 minute Bootcamp workout. My knee gives me problems so haven't been getting on the treadmill. I walk at work but only have time for a short one.
I still never got the last email of WK4. Would still like to get that in my email so I can save it with the other 3. Keep up the good work all.
I am down 5 lbs this mth. To me that is an accomplishment in itself. That and exercising regularly for the past 3+ mths is an even better feeling.

Half way through the final week and even though I didn't lose as much as I had hoped, I have made some very positive changes in my life. I workout daily for at least 1 hour and drink 8+ glasses of water a day. For me, that's huge! I've also been faithful about counting my calories and making healthy good choices (most of the time). I'm still committed to my goal of losing 40 lbs by my 40th birthday this June!! This is a lifestyle change and I have to give myself time to see the result over the long haul and realize it's not going to happen over night.

This was a great challenge, I enjoyed it and it added a lot to my routine. Even though I finished the challenge a couple of days ago I plan to continue doing the videos for now. My next fitness goal is to move up to 15 lb. dumbbells by the end of February.

This challenge helped me accomplish something I haven't been able to do in 4 years. I ran a 5K in 40 minutes. For many this may sound slow, but for me that is fast. I have been wogging (run 4 minutes, walk 2 minutes). Making my 5K take over 45 minutes. I wogged every other day in January; 3 miles almost everytime. On Saturday, February 1st, I walked my first 4 minutes for warm up. I then proceeded to run the entire 5K at 13:20 pace. At 35 minutes I knew I had enough "gas in the tank" to up the pace. I ran 2 minutes @ 5.0, then 1 minute at 5.5, & finished it off with 2 minutes @ 6.0. I am elated & am looking forward to upping my game in February.

So thank you for having this January Jumpstart Fitness Challenge!

Completed 2-Chicago Marathons, 4-Rock N Roll Half Marathons, 1-Monster Dash Half Marathon, 2-Soldier Field 10 Milers, 2-Shamrock Shuffles & multiple 5K & 10K races.

Finished the challenge and so glad I found it. It was so helpful to have a plan for getting active again. Am going to continue with the Couch to 5k running plan to keep me going until spring and then we will see what's next! Thanks, Spark People!
