I have just been trying to add on extra time and I also started doing intervals every other day. Like MFLEETING I have been trying to break up my exercises. I try to get Cardio done in the morning or afternoon and then do strength training at night when the boys are in bed. It really makes it easier. I wasn't able to split it up the other day and my husband had gotten used to me just going downstairs for about 20 min. He said "You were gone for like an Hour!" lol.

Goal 1- Under 210lbs by April 2014
Goal 2- Under 190lbs by June 2014
Goal 3- Under 180lbs by September 2014
Goal 4- Under 170lbs by January 2015

@MFLEETING Keep up the good work of trying. It will be 2nd nature soon! And good idea with splitting up the sessions. Sometimes its tough for me to do 40min after being at work all day, then going straight to exercis, and then preparing dinner, lunch for tomorrow, and snacks. It's been overwhelming for me and exhausting to keep up, but I do it.

@MRSBUCKEYE how about saying "I know I can"!!! And don't be so hard on yourself with the name calling. Your beautiful.

@VICIOUS421 you didn't mess up. You add variations which is good. "Tricking your body as I call it. You still got 40min of fitness..period..pat yourself on the back!


emoticon 2 more days until the end of week 3!!!! Can you believe it?? I'm excited to see the finish line. This will be the 1st spark challenge I ever completed :)

Kind of messed up today on that I added 20 minutes to my strength training and only did 20 minutes cardio today.

Just can't live that negative way....make way for a positive day!

The way I push myself to do more exercise is I split it up into 2 sometimes 3 sessions. I go to the gym and do anywhere from 30minutes - 1hour there. Then I'll either do my sparkpeople video at night and then do some kinect games or some other exercise videos for 20-40 minutes or I'll do a sparkpeople video or 2 during the middle of the afternoon (if I can) and then do some kinect games in the evening. Its hard for me to push myself doing everything at one time but if I do it in smaller chunks I find myself actually doing it more often than not.

Well today I did 2 of Nicole's video in the morning. I also did my usual 4 min. brain gym with the children then I came home and did a 30 minute workout video with Leslie Sansone. So I did a total of 40 mins. and I feel great.

Goals for the week:

1) Do all of the videos daily and add 1 video a week
2) Add 20 minutes worth of at home workouts 5 times a week
3) Stay within my calorie range all week long

1/15 - 30 minutes of Kinect Sports 2, video 1 done, over by 195 calories
1/16 - 45 minutes between Kinect Sports 2 and Adventures, video 2 done, calories within range
1/17 - 23 minutes of your shape, video 3 done + an extra cardio video, calories within range
1/18 - 10 minutes of kinect sports 2, calories within range.

My additional goals -
Use at home videos this week for my cardio. I want to end my gym membership and this will be my trial week. So far, I have proven I can keep up my workout intensity without attending group fitness classes.

Monday - 30 min video - Crunch Boot Camp (Netflix Instant) burned 263 calories
Tuesday - 30 min video - 10 min Solutions Kick Boxing (Netflix Instant) burned 315 calories

1. Do each video on a daily basis
2. Increase cardio minutes on treadmill
3.Keep up with food tracker daily.

Since I started a day late and although I caught up and am on week 3, I won't get the challenge until tomorrow, but will do what I think should be done and then some. and meet my goals and those of the Challenge as well (when I get it)

I have done today's Cardio Video and find I am not as short of breath.
