week 2 day 3.
Feeling less pain today so I put more effort into the workout video today. I am very happy about that. I am going to try and get into gym tonight and at least do some walking on the treadmill also :)

maybe i have a little anonymity here in this team and can say the things out loud that i cant say in my blog where im Yoovie the motivator and writerr and some sort of super unstoppable human.

I lost 90 pounds and gained back 5. Ive been struggling to lose weight for the year and a half and all I can seem to do is maintain.

My goals are not unrealistic, I simply want to be able to lose 2-4 pounds per month. I walk/jog/run an average of 25-30 miles per week, I do free weights, jumpingjacks, boxing, swimming, rock climbing, body weight exercises like planks and pushups, etc. I can run a half marathon every weekend and totally be fine.

But my BMI still has me at overweight and its killing me.

I need some kind of way to jumpstart my weightloss again. I dont need an exercise jumpstart - i exercise constantly. In 2011 I averaged 45 minutes dedicated to exercise per day. I dont need encouragement to eat healthy, as I have about 8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day, eat lean meats and whole grains, cut out most of my caffeine, never drink soda or have dessert and I snack on carrots and applesauce and whole grain crackers. I measure out actual servings of everything instead of just eating til im done.

And no weight loss.

Im doing this challenge, because I feel like I must be too stupid to figure out how to do it on my own. Ive read three books other than the spark on breaking through plateaus and nothing works. I dont want to be destined to be fat forever, but im THIS close to giving up. Its too hard to figure out what my body wants.

I give it everything it needs and baby it and work and love it and push it and I get nothing in return. Its just too disheartening to keep trying every day and being rejected by my body constantly.

Nothing works anymore and I just dont have it in me to keep trying forever with absolutely no progress.

Even to lose 5 pounds in 6 months would literally reduce me to tears because I would be so happy.

So.... week two, I have 2 ten mile runs and 6 free weight sessions and about 15 miles to walk. that's the plan.
oh and im trying a kickboxingclass on saturday.

Day 8: still on track.
I will do two New You Bootcamp videos this week as my 2 extra. I have a ball at home so it's convenient for me to do those.
I run a lot for the cardio, but I'm mixin it up now by goin to gym and using the machines (rowing and elliptical mostly)

I am definitely feeling the extra workouts with this challenge, its a good kind of sore. =)
I chose the 10 minute toning workout for abs this week, inspired by pilates, so more about core flexibility instead of just crunches for a 6 pack, and I need all the lower back help I can get with a 4 year old who wants to sit on the floor and build with legos for 2 hours a day. =P

Did the pilates for ABs for my extra workout this week. I'll probably do that one again as it seems well targeted. I followed the pilates for hips and butt workout. Love those workouts Nichole. I do have to adjust anything that requires a 90 degree bend with my wrists as they just don't do that anymore.

I am trying my best to do some exercise and diet plan. But my Dad in the hospital and my brother (as of today his liver is failing) are keeping me busier than I expected. I'm trying to do some exercise daily, but am not sure I am keeping up with the plan.

I may drop out if I have some other issues.

Sorry,

I just started week two today and I cant decide what bonus video to do. 1) there are alot of great sounding ones and 2) my back did not love the video from last night. I sit all day at work and every time I got up I was sooo stiff I had to walk for a few minutes to loosen it up again. not sure I'll do that video again this week.
So proud of myself for lasting 8 days now. go team!

I feel like i'm on a role! I am so glad the holidays are past so life can get back to normal and I can continue concentrating on my weight loss and health goals! I do other videos outside of the sparkpeople ones because I can't workout in front of my pc, and i don't have a laptop. So I ordered 2 new videos from Amazon and did the first one to arrive on Monday.

Today I did the 10 minute Cardio Kickbox with Coach Nicole as my extra video, a personal favorite! I'm doing fine with all the exercising, although my legs feel a little tired today. I'm also noticing that this week I have been RAVENOUS in the evenings. Been eating a little more than usual (logging in the 1500s as opposed to the 1300s like usual) but that's still in my plan.

28 Day Bootcamp DVD 22 minute Tone and Burn was my choice for my extra video workout this week. I'm still trying to "like" this DVD...I'm not coordinated and feel I'm spending all my time trying to get the footwork/arm movements right and less time actually concentrating on DOING it. This has always been a challenge for me with just about any Choreographed exercise video...I get frustrated and then just chuck it in a drawer and never pick it up again. I have everything from Billy Blanks to Richard Simmons! LOL...seems the only ones I have luck with are the Leslie Sansone WATP DVD's and Gin Millers Step Aerobic DVD....I'm working on trying not to get so frustrated with them this year....it's my actual GOAL to be able to do each one of them before the end of the year!

Day 8 for me, and my "extra" video for this week is the 11-minute seated cardio, which I've been doing at my desk on my lunch break. I think I'll do it every day, if for nothing else than to give me a quick lift to get me through the end of the work day.

I'm also already noticing a difference in the way my clothes fit. I'm wearing a skirt that I last wore about three weeks ago, and I've been tugging at it all day. It's hanging low enough that the waistband of my hose is actually higher than the waistband of the skirt--which has not been a problem up until today! :)

I tried the "Thighs & Gluts" included as a bonus on my 28-day Bootcamp DVD. It was challenging but doable and I enjoyed it! Hope it counts as a bonus workout :)

Week 2 Day 1 - I sure wish the interval video was longer. I am such a klutz, it takes me 1/2 way through to get my balance & rhythm going-lol. All in all, still a great work out! I also did the bonus video !0 min Cardio Kickbox workout. Whew that one felt good! The instructor was very precise in her directions which I liked, it made it easier to follow!

I have been consistently exercising and tracking my food and watching the calories! I continue to focus on taking things one day at a time to ensure that I don't lose focus or motivation to stay on track! Also, I am working to make sure that I get in my 8 or more glasses of water!
Enjoying the variety of the workout videos and incorporating some of my own videos into the mix as well!

I'm consistently tracking all my food - but I'm not doing that well calorie wise. For once, I'm not going over, I'm constantly going under! I've pretty much cut out processed foods and eat a ton of fruits and veggies (in my eyes) and don't eat any red meat/mammals (only birds: chicken, turkey; and fish). Any tips? I'm afraid if I keep this up my body is going to crash but it's tough to MAKE yourself eat or snack when you've been doing so well with your new, healthier habits.

This is week 2 day 1 for me. As I was exercising I suddenly felt something different and thought 'what's that?'. It was my toe. I touched my toes without even trying. This has not been completely easy for me, but I really do love the videos. I was intrigued by the video that does cardio sitting down so I just had to try it. For me, it's actually very good.

Week 2/Day1 - did the suggested workout for today and the toning video for yesterday (since I didn't get to do it yesterday). I will be adding 9 Min. Seated Arm and Shoulder workout for the added workout this week. I'm keeping a food journal and walking 30 minutes 5 days a week. This challenge has been a good incentive for me to get back on track after all the holidays.

I've made it to week 2 but it sure hasn't been easy with my Fibromyalgia. I have done some of the videos but mainly I've been doing water aerobics. I am logging in my food intake and seem to be doing good with the food. I just have to take it one day at a time. Good luck everyone.

Week 2/Day 2. I did the suggested workouts for today. I still need to finish logging my food for yesterday and get today's started. My herniated disk is bothering me a lot today, so my workouts were not to full capacity, but I did make it through them :) I'm also focusing on my water intake today, to help counteract the pain meds I am on.

Day 8: 31 minutes of cardio and toning with Supreme 90 Days Cardio Challenge. Didn't read the email with all the challenges so I started to track my calorie intact today (Day 9).

Also, since I don't do the Spark Videos and I am trying to complete the Supreme 90 Day workout system, I don't know what I can you as bonus videos. The 90 day system combines both cardio and strength training and are pretty intense. It is hard to do anything over and above. I think I will just include my weekly runs as the bonus because that is all I can fit in on top of the workouts I am doing. ,

And for those confused about where to find week two (it is confusing) try this link: http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/challen
ge_view_weekly_email.asp?sidn=ybCTdm46
+++++++6x\XnRaAb++++++&iw=42

It's similar to week one. For week two doing one toning video (10 minutes) every day (7 days for the week) AND do cardio 5 days this week AND do one bonus video two times this week (post it here). Continue tracking your exercise and tracking your food at least 3 days.

And you can start this challenge at any time - some of us started before the new year/January, hence we're on day 8/week 2 of the challenge. If you haven't started, you can start now and should be able to find the week 1 action steps after you join (you can only see the weeks you've unlocked). Hope that helps the few who were a bit confused.

I did the 15-minute office workout today (at work during my lunch break!) My arms are feeling it from those dips and wall push ups!

Yesterday was great! Today is going well thus far.

Being that this challenge did not officially begin until Sunday, maybe we can't view the week 2 plan yet.

I'm being consistent, day 8 of my streak :-) No number changes, but I feel better. Small lapse last night...need to journal about that.

I gained 5 pounds over the holidays!! emoticon

Found out by starting tracking my food on the first week here that I am eating way too much. Thanks for getting back on track with this Challenge!!

Hi- I am supposed to start week 2 today, but when I click on week 2 action steps, it takes me back to the same videos as week 1, and the page is labeled week 1. Should I just repeat last week's videos, or are the actions supposed to be different this week?

So far, I am loving the plan and the momentum that it is building to start off the year in a postitive way. Thank you!

This week I have a couple of new goals:
* Do an Easy Walk DVD inside on the days it is too cold to walk outside
* My alcohol allowance is 1 night on the weeknight I can have a drink, and 2 weekend days (Pick two from Friday, Saturday, Sunday) I can have a drink.
* Do jumping jacks in the morning while my husband is in the shower

I feel like adding these extra goals onto the challenge will really help me to go above and beyond!

I hope everyone else is doing good!

The bonus video I chose was from the New You Bootcamp. I did Day 4. Those are some of my favorite videos!
