Now that I have less than a month left stateside, I am starting to get clients. So now I must work on balancing life. This will be a great thing to integrate into my life since the last two years have been about just doing what I want.

Today was a chaotic day. Seriously had to run around and get some stuff done before I leave. Did not think I would get my workouts in, but I did! Yay. Now if I plan just right I can get a little more cardio in my day.

Finished week one! Going to try to up my cardio. The rain lasted all weekend but today is looking good. I only have 28 days left stateside, I have to make this count!

I am done with week2 and starting week number 3.
Things are going well. Drinking plenty of water and losing weight.
I checked and I lost 4.6 pounds. I am so happy!!!

Finished Wk 2 and ready to embark on Wk 3. Done many extra Cardio's, tracked my food, ate fruit and vegy's and drinking plenty of water. Lost a little but enough said on that subject. I am definitely getting toned. Seems to be taking forever but then I know it all takes time. With putting in 50 to 70 hours a week that makes me feel even better. Sticking with my workouts no matter what. If I can do it I know everyone can.


My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

The nice part about living in a small town: When you don't know what you're doing, someone else always does.

I traveled and had a cold, so I took off the week I should have been Week 2 activities. Back at it now.

Day 1--liked the video; also did my regular cardio
Day 2--cardio and video; liked the lower body workout
Day 3--video? done! did it twice
Day 4--those seated leg lifts are HARD!
Day 5--video done; pilates, I'm new to it but I'm thinking I could benefit from it.
Day 6--oh that floor work! done but not liking it

I think I am doing good this week. Lost 4.6 pounds and been drinking plenty of water.
Just wished I could do the crunches and bridges a lot better though.

I should have been done with Wk2 on fri. but ended up with company so was only able to complete D3 or 4. It is not that I am not exercising just not able to do the days on here. Many of my exercises have been completed at work using Coach Nicole's Cardio Blast DVD. I do 2 to 3 of them everyday I work till 10p. Mornings are out cause as much as I sweat at exercising I sweat way worse while working. My skin is way too dry to even think of showering twice a day. I have a very challenging job where your moving during most of the shift. I do manage to get walks in as well. I work with the Mentally Challenged so we clean, cook, shower them etc. When I work the shorter shift where I am done by 8:30 then I can come home and do the videos required on here. Which I will complete 2 tomorrow and maybe start 3. There are more exercise DVD's I have but they are not in the list of exercises so don't know how to record them. We need that updated. For instance that Fit Firm and whatever it is called, Coach Nicole's other Cardio one there is only one day that shows on when I search for it. Will you please go through and update your search choices. I cannot take my computer to work so have to use the DVD's. One thing I feel great about is I have been exercising almost daily for over 1 1/2 years or more. I also have lost since doing the challenge but not changing my meter and not saying cause everytime I do it backfires on me. I even quit telling the workers cause it seems I slip backwards when I do. Super excited to be able to finish WK2 tomorrow and go onto 3. I also tracked my food for the 3 days and did several extra workout videos. Keep up the good work all.

Do you think if I go back to week 1 and do 2 videos a day - that I will catch up? I feel like I skipped school not doing the videos and I want to go back and undo the bad and catch up on my assignments. emoticon

Wow 2 weeks in and I have lost 10 pounds!! From here on I know it will be less than that but I hope to keep it at 2 pounds per week. I have not done any of the videos, but I have been walking 2 miles 4-5 days a week. My goal is this week is to complete the videos for the week.

I hope everyone else is doing amazing and reaching your goals.

week 2; day 13! I am babying my neck..... watched doing core work, instead! Another video for this week! I have to say, I'll be glad when this challenge is over..... I exercise SO much already, it's hard for me to squeeze it in! But I'm the 1 who signed up! LOL

Week 2 is done. The fitness videos seemed a bit easier this week. Not sure I like doing ST every day. I am more accustomed to doing it 2-3 times a week instead. Also, I did the Jessica Smith 15-minute Full Body Blaster that was promoted by SP this week as my extra fitness session. I am not happy that I cannot track this video on my Fitness Tracker. Not sure why SP frequently offers these types of videos and then leaves us hanging.

Oh well. Onto Week 3 I go!

I am on week 2, Day 4, but also did the extra video, I learned how to use the foam roller, which granted is not a strenuous exercise, but it is something I really wanted to learn. I see there are other short videos for using the roller on various parts of the body.
I am so grateful to Spark People another question answered and another way I can help myself.

Went to the Gym and tried the elliptical was on it 15 min. It was tough. But I loved it.Hang in there we are halfway through.

Week 2; day 12 doing well! I had a neck strain, so had to REALLY modify the videos & all activities. But doing MUCH better, today! Taking GREAT care not to re stress my neck, but doing all the lower muscles while the upper ones are 'on' the videos. I'm getting my workouts in! emoticon

I am very disappointed in myself. At my first weigh in last week I had only lost .5lbs. I had exercised, tracked what I eat, gave my precious Mt Dew and only lost .5. I justified it as my weigh in was on Friday and I had only started on Monday. I think the disappointment got to my motivation plus I have had an very un-normal harried week. My exercise and dieting have gone out the window. I know I have put back on that .5 and am very disappointed in myself. Right now I am facing the fact that when I weigh in tomorrow that it will not be what I want it to be and trying to let go. I am moving forward and planning for another hectic week so that I won't get blind sided and will be prepared then I will be ahead of the game. I still am not happy as I had planned on being so much farther in my journey and feel like I am still at square one.

Hi,

I just did Week 2 Day 5 work out. I never should have started this on a Sunday. I keep forgetting to count that day form my workouts.

Not much progress showing on the scale in spite of upping the exercise and eating well, staying in my ranges. Hoping to push the reset button with some longer workouts on the weekend! Downward and Onward to week 3!

I did day 2 and 3 but will finish by friday or earlier. At work I also did 3 10 min. videos today as well. Managed to get in a walk as well. Been working 60+ hrs a week so very proud of myself for the exercising that I am managing to get done as well. Keep up the good work all.

Hi,

Week 2 Day 3 done! I did 15 minutes on the elliptical for cardio. I am slowly building up. I am still a little behind because I went cross country skiing for 2 hours Sunday so I didn't do the video that day.. I need to fit in an extra video to catch up. I will get that done today.

Very tired today.
Had my 18 mo. old Granddaughter all day and she never stops so neither does Grammy.
Love every minute of it but it wears me out. It's 8;45 pm and I still have to do my workouts and track for the day. I will get them done!! emoticon

I am definitely feeling more flexible. I sometimes want to skip the stretches to get on with things, but I've come to recognize how important they are, especially as I get older (or better, as they say!).

Day 9 for me, too! Working with a stressed neck muscle. Almost healed. Loved the lower workout today, Nichole! Great job, yes, I know it was from last week, but it seemed SO different NOT using my neck! Felt GREAT to move again!

Day 9 for me. I do a number of my own video's because they are geared for seniors. But do use the chair exercises from sparks for credit. I do like this challenge keeps me on track.

This is day 11 for me. I have been keeping up with the videos and the cardio and am feeling very proud. However I have to be honest and say that I have had stronger cravings for sugar and sodium these past two days. Luckily I have not overindulged and still can feel the 2 lb difference in my clothes. :-)

Hi,

I cross country skied for 2 hours today and I am exhausted. It was wonderful to be outdoors.

Today was week 2 day 1. I didn't do the video for obvious reasons. I will fit it in this week some time.

My encouraging messages disappeared into the cloud, so well done everyone, let's stick at it!
Yesterday did Pilates abs, and survived it better this week. Plus a Jessica Smith cardio boogie, or something to that effect. Today just the cardio intervals. Clocked up 6k steps but no idea how! Am eatingnover cal guidelines, as far as I can estimate, but scales are not protesting. I jump on the scales in warm pijamas every morning for amrough estimate and track it properly once a week. That way I can catch upward trends before they gomtotally outmof control..

Hi everyone ,started to get on the scales this morning but decided it was not going to decide my fate. I have been on the January Challenge for 11 days now (week 2 day 4) and I'm afraid if I get on the scales and I've not lost anything I may get discouraged, like so many other times. So, this time will be different, I will wait till the challenge is over to see what I have lost. Happy Thoughts!! Anyone else feel like me, or have any suggestions of help?

Really got knocked down with an attack of stomach yuck...been sick for 4 days.
Better now but still cramps and pain..so taking it easy.
I refuse to be sidetracked ..only derailed for a short time...then back at it!
Right now my body is not being my best friend..so I need to be nice to it and we can make up!

Today is day 8 for me and I decided to go ahead and get the extra video out of the way. I did a modified version of SparkPeople Cardio Blast DVD: Cardio Kickboxing. (I can't do a lot of knee lifts because the bone spurs on my right knee are acting up a bit.) Also did Mile 2 (a 13-minute mile) of the Walk Fast, Fast and Firm video I treated myself to the other day.

A couple more 15 minute walks and I'll reach my personal goal of 10,000 steps!

Week 2, day 2, video 6, arms with weights. Videos getting easier second time round. Also did Jessica Smith cardio party, 15 mins, and another cardio video 20 mins. Still ate more cals than I burned, but I am getting fitter, which is the main object of the exercise.

Week 2 day 1. Did yesterday's video as well as today's as I spent most of yesterday in bed, successfully warding off an attempted flu attack! So that was my 2nd cardio free day for week 1.
I'm doing videos according to day of the week, e.g. video for day 5, hips and thighs, on day 1. This week I found it much easier than last. Thank you, Nicole! Also did the seated core workout for day 7 of week 1. And Jessica Smith's FITIN15, which was strength, so I did one of her 30 min walking workouts, HIIT, and actually got through it without a break. I'm getting fitter! I'm aiming at at least 30 mins cardio a day and 150 cals burned, but not getting uptight if I don't achieve it every day. I haven't been working out since September, apart from walking, as I have back problems, and I have noticed how unfit I am now. Have also noticed an improvement in the last week! 3 cheers for SP and Jumpstart!
