I'm starting today! It's kind of weird since today is Wednesday, but I run three days a week, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, so it kind of makes sense in my head. I just hope I can keep my enthusiasm up for the full four weeks. :)

I started on Sunday. Wanted a clean starting point and Sunday's always seem like a good place to start. I wanted to get on before the new year started because I didn't want to start the new year off by proscratinating and telling myself I could be bad just for a few more days since I was starting something new soon.
So far so good. I got up at 4:30 am on Monday morning to get my work out done before having to go for work and that was great. Today, not so much, so I'm hoping that I'll still be motivated once I get home. Weekends and holidays are as bad since there is always time when the little ones are napping or before they get up, but most of the time its going to be challenging since I know I'm never as motivated in the evening. What do other people do? Is it better to work out in the morning or the evening? When are you most motivated?

and you are totally right! all of your efforts will eventually lead to success! The trick is to keep adding on the baby steps going forward, and not get knocked off course when there is a slide or two along the way!

New Challenge, New Opportunities.

Each day begins anew.

Continuing, seeking out new opportunities to think and do things differently.

Day 2 of the challenge begins.

love the way you are mixing it up -- not only will you not get bored, there's a much lower chance of injuries too! I plan to do things in "blocks" -- mornings, I will do about 15 minutes of Yoga.
Later in the day, I will do some cardio (like a walk/run program, mostly walking LOL! 3x a week for 30 minutes. Or 30 minutes on the eliptical (we have a small home gym), Then a few times a week, I will do 15 minutes of kettlebell training, or some weights or something strengthening!
I work at home, so I figure it will actually be good to break up my day with these separate activites at different times. Plus, 15 minutes of something is not as daunting as a big block of 60 minutes, every day. That's the plan, anyway~! So far today though (and it's 10:16 pm) I just put in 40 minutes on the eliptical. But I;m all sweaty and happy, so I'm not complaining! emoticon

I signed up and started today - despite feeling a cold coming on. Hoping this is the kick in the pants I need to get off my holiday food and fitness slump and get rid of these last 8-10 pounds that I've been struggling with.

I love that phrase: "I need to act together this year before I have no act left!"
sums up my life in many ways, but I am not feeling discouraged -- rather, I feel up for the challenge ahead.
WHAT I WANT TO KNOW, WHY DOES SPARK WEIGHT SHOW UP IN KG? AND NOT IN POUNDS???????
For all the SP in the US, this must be a major pain in the ass! I am in Canada where we use metric, but even there, weight is usually conveyed in pounds in regular conversations.
anyway, for the record, I'm 81.65 kg -- not 177 kg. (It's more like 180 pounds) emoticon

I''m with you. I went through my closet today and got rid of clothes that I kept-just in case- I also tried on every pair of slacks I have and seperated what fits, and what doesn't. I need to get my act together this year before I have no act left.

Ok, so I skipped the gym this morning. But it's time for lunch and errands and a trip to the gym tonight - maybe there will be a zumba class! I love zumba!

Good luck SparkFriends!
