Hi all, this is my 2nd week of coming back to Sparks; my 4th day of doing something physical. Lynn, I can relate to the weak ankles and bad feet but I know I must press on. Do as much as you can; you know your strenghts and limitations. Glad to hear you were able to make it thru...

"Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for all your actions".

thank you Kerwristea... I don't give up and this morning I am fine, nothing pulled nothing broken... :) Just need to keep pushing, but for the time being until my ankles get stronger- I am practicing standing on one foot while I am doing things like preparing my meals.

Wow, that sounds awful, but I am soo glad to hear that you are not giving up. I have given up before because it hurt, or I had major complications (like my left arm) but i figured out very quickly that it is not worth it to give it up. I learned that if I do what my body will allow me and then push myself a little quicker, than i will overcome all my challenges. I hope things work out for you. I would love to hear soon that you have worked so hard and you dont have to hold on to a chair :) cheering for you girly :)

-K

Success-AMT... yeah I am alright, passed the "freak out" stage and moving without pain, so I am alright. And I am going to move forward with this challenge. Thank you.

week one, day 4... I repeated days 2 and 3 and started on 4... I have weak ankles. I found myself falling while trying to balance one leg and back I went foot under my butt and my knee with FULL extension, it hasn't done that, not even close to that, in years. SO I learned a lesson today. Hold on to something! and when you call, put your feet up. I landed so hard on my back with my foot under my butt and was terrified to move. I have had so many injuries already this year, one of the reasons I am here on SP, that I laid there terrified to move. Realizing that the position I was in was not all that really painful but getting out of that position was going to be potentially dangerous and damaging to my leg, ankle, well.. to me. I figured out that I could very slowly walk myself to a sitting position with my hands. From there I slowly rocked back to release my foot from under me and I slowly, checking out each muscle and bone movement straightened out my leg. I sat there with both legs extended on the floor, tears streaming down my face in relief that I wouldn't be driving myself to the ortho doctor.
I will attempt the exercise routine tomorrow while I am HOLDING on to something, until my ankles and my core are strong enough to sustain my body on one leg.
I don't give up anymore, I move forward. I am inspired as other move forward with me.

be authentically you...

I am on day six today. When I first started this challenge, I could hardly get myself motivated for a workout, but i made myself do it. I made myself a little monthly fitness calender so I could keep track of what I had to do each day.

I was doing the same couple videos every day, one day ST the next cardio and there was a few days when I did both. I started this and I was counting down the minutes until the video was over. Tonight, I didnt follow a video for ST. I looked up a few exercises and did them since I got a new 3lb weight for my arm that is hard to build muscle with (herbs palsy when i was born.) I did follow the 10 minute bootcamp kickboxing video. I got done with it, and WANTED MORE!! So, I re did the vid. I keep telling myself way to go with pushing yourself and way to go with actually joining a challenge that will keep me on my toes!! This challenge really does help. It helps with making a good habit of working out!!!

I cant wait for the next 3 weeks :D
