Lost some days .. wish I could have kept the streak but been really busy and not on the computer much. Sticking to my modified Daniel diet and some of my exercise just didn't log data.

I lost a couple days this week due to moving furniture around; rearranging bedroom and office. I moved my office to the basement and the bedroom to my office, so up and down two flights of stairs carrying heavy boxes, etc.

Yesterday, I did days 3, 4 and 5 and today I did days 6 and 7! plus a two-mile walk beforehand, each day.

Feeling good!

emoticon SO MUCH for our comment! emoticon Well, see the reason I CAN do that is cuz I have nothing but time. No kids or job. I would be terribly bored. Sure I could clean my house but EEEWWW! I would rather keel over dead on my treadmill than do that! emoticon PLUS and this is HUGE! I've been with SP since July 2009!!!! I have never reached my goal but I keep on trying! I decided to take a different approach at the start of the new year. I it's easier than if I were just starting out. When I 1st started I couldn't even run a minute at 4mph on my tread. I haven't progressed much in that but I can do 1.5 min. @ 7mph 10 times with 3 minute walks @ 4mph between. I did the couch to 5K training and it does help. Just keep at this challenge and you'll be surprised what a difference it will make!

I couldn't run and then do more exercises for that long on a treadmill..I'd die of boredness and lack of breath.. you go girl.. what a great example you are setting by doing so much more than just like me doing a couple of videos and elliptical..

Don't give up. You are worth this effort.

I would like to suggest that maybe you are restricting yourself too much. You should be eating no less than 1200 calories a day or your body could go into starvation mode and actually work against you losing weight because it's trying to conserve weight as much as possible because it's not sure when it will be fed again. Also remember that when you're starting, don't go too all out at once or you will feel what you're feeling now. Small steps are best; that's the purpose of the fast break goals. Read some of the articles about getting started; they really do have good advice about why it's important to ease into this new lifestyle.

I suggest that you follow the SP suggested calorie and nutrition levels. When I started, I even used the SparkMeals (with some modifications for my own tastes) in order to learn how to better balance it all. If you're doing a lot of exercise, you need to consider adding more calories in order to give your body the fuel it needs to keep up this lifestyle and activity levels.

Don't give up...you are worth this effort, and I know you can do it. I look forward to seeing your successes (and if the weight loss successes seem small, remember that it has been proven that people who lose weight slowly are MUCH more likely to keep that weight off than those who lose it quickly).

I GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!! I am following a diet of
CALORIES 1,100 - 1,250 CARBS 35 - 152 FAT 22 - 55 PROTEIN 60 - 136
I have done all the videos and at least 30 min cardio. On Friday and Sat a did a lot more. My legs hurt and keep cramping, they jerk all the time and I am exhusted. I lost 1 pound. This is not worth it.

Even won the 500 Monthly Fitness Minutes trophy.

Great summary for week 1.. cheering folks on to week 2. reading your post remind me I need more aerobic activity and less snacking if I want to move the scale.. I've been just maintaining since Turkey Day. I need to step up the activity even more to compensate for the calorie range I'm in.

Got some exercise everyday and the strength video's all but one, but that was a heavy farm chore day and I've been doing strength arm workouts with 5 and 10lb weights everyday to get ready to go fly fishing last of Jan or first week in Feb. I'm not losing pounds but I'm not gaining either. I think my scale is stuck..LOL

Congratulations to all of those who have completed Week 1 emoticon !!! I still have to do my day 7 (which I'm getting ready to do right now), but I wanted to quickly post my tracker for yesterday and show what I did for day 6 (I have lost 3 lbs this week, so I am sooooo stoked to already be seeing results; it lights a fire under me to keep it up).

not sure where my tracker went??? I had even responded to something here and it seems to have disapeared. I am typically very good at this stuff, so I am really at a loss. I will update my tracker on Monday when I return to the office. I have it saved in a word document.

I followed all the videos this week and walked for 30 minutes every day except Sunday. I only made 25. In week two I will increase the intensity of my walks.

I like the idea of this, great way to keep motivated & get workout ideas

1/1 Day 1 Video, 30 mins Yoga (10 mins Sun Salutations, 10 mins Buns/Thighs, 10 Mins Abs)
1/2 did not workout, furniture shopping, was booked
1/3 did not workout, fell asleep unintentionally way too early..now making up for lost time! =)
1/4 Day 2,3, & 4 Videos, 30 mins of Kickboxing (10 mins basic punches/kicks, 10 mins buns/thighs, 10 mins arm sculpting)

Started on Monday
Day 1 Spark Cardio video plus 11 wgt.machines for strength work out and 80 min. cardio at fitness center.
Day 2 Spark lower body sculpt video
Day 3 Spark bootcamp video plus 50 min on stationary bike
Day 4 Spark seated core video and I am about to put on some music and pedal for at least 30 min.

!st week of challange done, as well as my usual regime, Mo,Wed and Fri. is 35 min cardio
and then weight training, plus the chalange and Tues, Thur are only cardio at gym and the
challange..Must say it feels great to be back on schedule.
