I won't have my totals till tomorrow - left the file at work.
I'm ending at the weight I started with, which sucks, but at least I'm holding my own. I've had a lot of challenges this time.

Ah, it's no fun to be positive ALL the time... but I can try to be more constructive.
My weight has returned to the 'edging down' status it was at earlier in the challenge.
Kyrrdis, dear, might I suggest more positive thoughts?
Mightier by Monday Tougher by Tuesday Weightless by Wednesday ...
Remember, as Pagans we, at least as much as others, create our reality.
As for my performance over this Challenge, I'm sad to say that my lightest (except for one aberrent weigh-in on a friend's scale) has been 242, and happy to say my heaviest has been 249, and that I'm tending back to the low end of that range of late - 243 this morning. I might, just possibly might, get down to 240 to end this thing, as this week has a lot of activity on the schedule.
I also am trying to set up my success on the next Challenge by getting bloody downright serious about the strength work THIS WEEK. I did a good workout Monday night (which I'm still hurting from, but hopefully more work will help), took last night off, and will do half a workout each night for the rest of the week/Challenge.

I will definitely break 400 points... hope to reach 500, but that will probably require some good spins on the wheel and a lot more exercise. I don't recall my totals on previous challenges (will have to look that up), but you shouldn't compare yourself unfavorably unless you think you REALLY slacked off. Part of my problem at the moment is achy joints from the weather. I may have unjustly blamed my physical therapy for my pain last spring.
I didn't lose any weight this time, but I seem to have returned to the weight I was before this past weekend. I think the puffy joints and extra sodium (from the drum building & buffet junket) WERE to blame.

There are now 9 days left in this Challenge. That means two things -- I have to make up the spreadsheet for the next Challenge, and we should start reporting our scores. Unlike most previous Challenges, I seem to be in the lead, but I have not done any/much more work that past challenges. Feels like I have, but the statistics, in this case, do not lie.
A couple Challenges ago, I reduced the number of strength exercises per point from 10 to 8. That "coddling" has not seemed to help me or anyone else much - either you're doing it or you're not - and also seems to have increased the disparity between how many times you can lift something and get the same points as 10 minutes of walking. I think I'll return to the rounds of 10 in the next Challenge.

Weight has come down a little, but I haven't exercised much this week... still pretty sore from the drum making. That, and rain makes my joints hurt more.
I got 10 points on the wheel again yesterday, though, so I did extra exercise to count the spin. I'll take my incentives where I can!

I am sore as heck from a drum-making workshop this weekend and haven't been very constructive since then. It was also out of town and we ate at Asian buffets, so I'm either bloated or I gained 3 pounds in as many days. I need to get back to 'normal' foods.
Hehehe, it threw a 10 at me this morning too. I'm not sure what I'll do, my gout has flared up in my right ankle (usually gout-free, but these flare-ups take a toll on me). I'll get out on my bike today at least... if I have energy left after my travails, there's no reason I can't do my situps and weights, but if not, I'll likely just collapse.
I did break 600.

Most of the stuff I've read indicates that fat people (they used nicer words) get real benefits from strength training. If you ever decide to go to a 1 point/5 minutes cardio, though, I wouldn't object...
Yeah, it seems a bit unequal that 2 minutes of lifting something counts as much as 20 minutes of walking... but the whole idea is that lazy people like me don't often lift and could stand a little incentive.

Well, my weight has climbed upwards a few pounds... I spent the weekend out camping with my spiritual Family, and the food was much better (in terms of what I can eat) than usual, so I sorta pigged out Saturday night, but I'm still only 247. That's 5 pounds heavier than my normal low, and a lot of that should be shed over the next couple days.
I just saw that I'm almost to 500 points in this Challenge. Yes, if I worked hard it would be 700 or 800, but this is a new high for me. I hope all of you are doing well... no more flus and colds, please.

Goodness, did we finish another week already??? I'll have to go check my spreadsheet...
No change in weight this week, other than a return to my usual 242-243 range. I'm getting SLIGHTLY better at doing my weight work.
I managed to screw something up in my back Wednesday night and took it easy over the weekend. Spun 10 pts on the wheel this morning, so I may try to push myself for those extra points today.
We're doing a cleansing diet right now, mostly focused on detox tea (Yogi brand) and eating certain foods. More gas, peeing gallons, and consuming a boatload of fiber and carbs. Doubt I will lose weight.

Yayyy Kyrrdis! I need to get more consistent with my exercise, but I'm doing it once or twice per week (not 3 times like I promised myself, but getting there, and it beats zero!).
I worry about including my weight on that scale yesterday... as it is not the scale I have used for other weights... but figure, it's a good target to move towards and I won't be able to use those points again this Challenge until my scale tells me I have exceeded that.

Just last week I make a snippy comment about being flat on your back the day you spin a 20 login bonus. Well, I wasn't sick or tired at all when I spun a 20 this week, and that gave me extra motivation to do my strength work.

You'll find plugin thingies (like USB Jump Drives) to be incredibly cheap, and you only need a small one (in terms of memory size) for something like this... but suit yourself, and hope you continue to participate in the Challenge.

That's right, you only count the Login spin when your daily totals are 15 or more. And yes, they usually are only 1, 2, or 3 points... but my luck has been that when I spin a 20 I've been flat on my back all that day.
Next challenge I'm going to add another wrinkle to the login points... what will it be?
I'm curious as to why you can't use the spreadsheet.

Question: when I spin the wheel for Spark points I usually get either 1 or 3 points a day but we only count it if we reach 15 a week is that right? I have not done a challenge like this one before so need a little clarification please.

Never too late. Generally speaking, we have this Challenge with a number of well-meaning people who are TRYING to take their weight loss and exercise seriously. Always room for someone else. We started this Feb 3, ending May 1. And then we'll start another, so don't get down on yourself if you don't quite catch on this time.

The library should have a spreadsheet program. You don't need to print out your numbers, just keep a little USB jump drive with you; at the end of the week, open a Notepad windows and write down the numbers on your spreadsheet, and post the text file you just created using cut-and-paste. That's what I do...

I had a homeless couple staying with me for 5 days this week. Besides the fact that they cleaned everything in the kitchen and bathroom, Jeana cooked every night, resulting in temporary weight gain... but it was healthy food, so it came off again.
Question: My starting weight of this Challenge was ___. I had a lower weight as part of the last Challenge. Do I get weight points from the start of the Challenge, or from all Challenges?
Answer: Well, since we never covered that in previous Challenges, and since our Challenges are 3 months long, we look at each Challenge as its own start and end. So your Starting Weight on 2/3/10 is the weight from which weight points are counted, not your previous low. If you need to revise your numbers last week, feel free to do so. This is not intended to encourage you to pig out at the end of the Challenge, but there is no help for it.

I slacked off a bit at the end of the last challenge and the start of this one. But I went to Aldi for groceries today, intending to buy a the hand dumbbells they had for sale in January for $39.95, and found they had 2 sets left -- marked down to $24.95. I did my first set of exercises with them tonight. They even came with an exercise chart and DVD.
