I think the desire to splurge stays in VEGAS. But unfortunately, the calories stay with you.

It is OK to splurge occasionally as long as it is short lived and you jump back on the horse quickly when you are done.

Still traveling and guessing since up till today that I am still in the 168 range. However, after 7 months on the path, I did allow myself a hiccup today, I had a great healthy breakfast and lunch, but also allowed myself a black and white cookie from Freeds bakery here in Vegas for an afternoon snack, and a Nathan's hotdog for dinner. I will be good again tomorrow, but once in a while, a least once in 7 months, a girls gotta splurge! :-)

Does what happens in Vegas really STAY in Vegas?? If so, maybe any extra weight will stay here too. LOL

Hi JO

After taking a break and not counting calories for 3 weeks, I knew the first few would come off easy.

Now comes the hard part, losing more. emoticon

I rode my bicycle on some hilly roads near me for 36 miles today. Man, did it feel good when I got done. It was tough there for a bit. But, I felt a real sense of accomplishment. Stopped half-way for lunch. Lost 5 out of 10 of my gears because one of my gear shifter cables broke. I am going to London, KY for a 44 mile hilly ride in October and trying to work up to it.

Stay focused JO. It is easier to keep it off than to gain and lose.

Maybe it was the salt from the day before. Sometimes foods will effect me that way. Sometimes they won't show up when I weigh the morning after, but the next morning the scale will be high. Took a while to figure that one out because you try to figure out what you ate yesterday that was bad. For me that happens especially if it is sugar.

Anyway, trucking right along.

Water. Water. Water. I do so much better if I track my water. I have a 32 oz bottle I fill it up twice and drink water with my meals. That gives me 80 oz a day.

Sweat, too. Sweat will help get rid of that excess salt. (I think. But I am no expert)

Geez Donna! Yesterday I was 167.8 and this morning I was 168.8!! And I stayed UNDER my calories by quite a bit, but my rings were tight so maybe it's water. Ho Hum. And now I am on a business trip and all I can hope for is to not gain too much! Hope you are having a better result than me!!!
