That is the exact same problem that I have. I need to be more diligent with tracking AND to be honest about what I am tracking. Tough thing to do but not impossible!

emoticon Ok so I have just been going up and down a couple pounds.I read a blog last week and knew instantly that was my problem. I was not being honest with myself. guessing on the amount of food I was eating, and being lazy on tracking.

I forgot to post yesterday. I'm still at 216. Not really sure why I didn't lose with all the walking and tracking, but I'm feeling better, so that's what is really important. On to another week of feeling better.

Not happy... I thought I was doing so well, then those pesky scales told me I'd lost nothing. They're just new, so I can't, blame them. My biggest challenge is it is school holidays, kids and eating & a hubby that LOVES a biscuit after dinner with his cuppa!
Not really complaing, I didn't gain, SO huge plus there :-)

emoticon Well, this Monday weigh in is a good reminder. I hope all the members are doing great. It was a struggle, but I HAVE SURVIVED THE FIRST WEEK, with a 6 pound loss.
I did notice that one of my biggest challenge is my Husband who does not like the way I am cooking now, and constantly asks me to make heavy Mid-Western type meals., emoticon

Hi,
How are you doing?
I know those scales can be so intimidating, and at times frustrating. Hang in there and in no time (even though it seems like a life time) the numbers will drop and then that new knee will be in place!
Not just the new knee will make you feel better but so will the loss of your weight.
Good luck, keep motivated and the power of positive thoughts is amazing.

Sheryl

Even small things will make a huge difference. Stay away from calorie drinks and stick to lots of water. It's easy to pack away 400-500 calories in drinks while sitting on a plane. Try to keep fast food intake to a minimum. Take the stairs instead of the elevator when time permits. Park at the back of the parking lot. These things should help you keep those vacation pounds to a minimum.

164.6 today. I haven't posted an update in this forum since May or June, at around 177 pounds. I've lost another 13 (give or take) since then. It's been a slow going summer with my weight loss. According to my goals, I wanted to hit 150 tomorrow. On the flipside, I'm still losing weight, even if it's not coming off as fast as I would like it to. That I can't complain about.

I will be taking a break from Spark People until November 1. We are traveling and I won't always have wi-fi connections. Will still be conscious of eating and trying to get all the exercise possible while travelling. Yoga helps.
