Yesterday was a bad day, food choice wise. I am supposed to be losing over the summer, but have managed to hit my highest weight of the year this morning, 193 lbs.

Time to refocus and get turn things around...

I want to shout it out : I have lost 25 Pounds since starting 02/24/2014 @ 215.4 lbs. and as of 06/30/2014 @ 189.6 lbs. That's 5 months, so close. My short term goal weight is 160 lbs for back surgery, 29.6 lbs away for pain relief. Then my main goal is 150 lbs, just think I have 39.6 lbs to lose and achieve my healthy lifestyle weight. When I break it up into those short term goals it becomes so doable... That is something to get excited about

Live to Ride, Ride to make another healthy lifestyle change another day!

Sounds like a bad week for you. I hope you want to reach your goals bad enough to make this week good. emoticon It sounds like you're learning as you go along in your journey. We all make bad decisions - none of us have not had bumps in the road. I would like to suggest this week focus on your successes no matter how small they might seem to you and write them down. Look at what you're doing right instead of what you're doing wrong. Just try it and see if it helps. It helped me. Small successes might be eating one cookie instead of 6 or measuring portions at lunch. You will be surprised at the successes you come up. I believe you can do it! We're here to support you.

Well I gained 4 pounds...But don't feel sorry for me because I know exactly what I did! I wanted what I wanted and I ate it. emoticon emoticon I was also lazy and did not feel like being accountable to myself. emoticon But what I also realized was that I know exactly what to do. Either I make up my mind and do the work or I just don't. I have no excuses nor do I need or want any!. I also realize that I cannot do this alone, so I need to stop trying. I am NOT all that I need! This type of thinking is rationalization and leads me to poor decision making. God is right by my side and He has given the gifts necessary for my circumstances (for example, one of the gifts, Sparkpeople; another is this community). Coming to this realization and having this self talk, is my opportunity accept my failure and start again. I will be okay! emoticon
