There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

I do a challenge of fitness minutes on the 2 teams that I lead. I have pledged 1000 minutes for the month of January. I know I got over 500 minutes for December because I got the 500 minute trophy from SP. I made a goal of getting at least 6 floors a day with my fitbit and got 6 on Tuesday and 7 yesterday.

I love SparkPeople

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I am responsible for my own happiness.

I lost 122 pounds and have maintained it since 12/28/12.

I was 6 minutes short of reaching my fitness minutes goal in December. Which is why I'm sticking to the same goal in January (but this time I'll do it!).
