Thanks for posting this! :) I don't know what my and the kids plans are yet for that day, so I'll have to get back to you.

Right now the boyfriend and I have been working on being able to do a 1.5 mile jog. So far we can maintain a little more than a quarter mile. He could probably go further, but I can't, yet.

I usually do 3 miles in under an hour. I've done 4 miles with no problem, and I'm sure I could do a 5 mile walk, as well. I think I did do that once with a friend, actually it was with several friends joining and dropping out and I just did them all, which is why I ended up with the 5 miles.

I tend to be a fast walker, but I can accommodate friends who aren't by wearing ankle weights and carrying two 3 lb weights.

I'll be walking from Pinegrove Elementary School in Brooksville, Ken Austin Parkway on

Saturday, February 16. I will leave the front parking lot, make a couple of slight dogleg turns and walk on the bike trail alongside the Sunshine Parkway to Highway 50, cross the pedestrian overpass to the building at the carpark where I believe there is a bathroom, and return. The total distance is a little over 5 miles.

I walked 4 miles from 50 to Rester Bridge and back in 90 minutes. So I'm not a real fast walker.

But this outing could take 2 + hours. Don't know what that extra mile will do to me.

I'm agreeable to walk a shorter distance.

Anyone interested?
