I might add that eating a bit of cilantro, either mixed in with your tuna salad or in a side salad, is helpful in binding whatever mercury there may be in your fish ... thus can provide some "extra" insurance.
You've really got to read the article though... its got some interesting stuff about the PCB content of our "other" foods... meat, dairy and vegetables.

I blogged about this. Suddenly fish isn't so scary for me anymore. I had no idea selenium was in so readily available food like ocean fish, or that it was so protective.

It DOES refer to commonly eaten US fish, but for those in other parts of the world, perhaps you can do a little further investigation about mercury and selenium levels in the fish in your areas.
