It was fun walking with all the Sparkers this morning. Even a little rain doesn't stop us! Great way to get to know all of you. Until next time!

How fun to see old Spark friends and meet new ones. Looking forward to another walk soon but hope there's less mist? Rain? Heck, hope there's more blue sky.

Thanks for the info. I walked Glendoveer today and didn't have a problem. I just have to pay attention. Appreciate the response and look forward to meeting fellow Sparkers!

Hi PearlyQ2 The route we'll be taking is 100% paved. HOWEVER, the path near the slough appears to have buckled and there are uneven spots in the pavement that may be a trip hazard.
I'd say better safe than sorry - if you feel more secure with two canes, please do bring them both! It won't deter the fun we're going to have gabbing and walking together! C~

I would like to join the walk. But i need to know if some of the walk is on uneven ground like a rocky surface. I need to know whether to bring one or both of my canes. I usually walk with one. But my balance can be bad. Please give me your opinion. Thanks

Jory, I hope you can make it. Would be great to see you again. I'm hopping we'll have sun lake today, maybe a bit cooler though.

Sounds like a plan, I will calendar it -- It's been a while since I participated in a Sparkpeople activity...

Darn! I'm committed to another appointment on Sunday mornings. Otherwise I would join this one. PS: I have a royal blue Sparkpeople tee shirt (size sm.) that has been worn twice. It's just uncomfortably tight on me so I want to give it to a smaller person. Does anybody want it?
Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Here's the link to the map of the walk. This is through a wooded area, so if you have allergies or asthma, please make sure you have your meds and are prepared for any triggers.

Let's get moving, gang!
Who: Everyone is invited - bring your significant other, your kids, your pets (on a leash, please), and water!
What: We're going to do a 3 mile team walk! All speeds are welcome - fast or slow, no one will be left behind.
Where: Cascade Station Target parking lot (accessible by Max red line)
When: Sunday, July 15, at 9 am
How: With a little bit of sass and a whole lot of laughter - the best way to do anything!
Please post if you're able to join us for this little outing. It shouldn't be that hot that early in the day, but one never knows. Please bring your own WATER to stay hydrated!
I'll post a map of the location soon, keep checking back.
