Thanks Holly. Today I tried week /level 2. Was starting to get bored with the same routine. I made it and was the kick in the pants I needed. Also posted before and after pic for week one on my page. SUPER impressed and can't wait to see the difference after week 2 :)

Crose8709- good job on increasing your weight. I think you will so some nice results and have more strength!

I jumped ahead and started week 2. I only did week 1 for 4 days; so, in other words, I am doing my own program emoticon I find if I do the workout everyday, I am just too fatigued the next day during the workout. I can go forever with cardio, but I just lack serious strength; especially, in my shoulders. Week 2 is really hard on my shoulders.

Keep up the good work!

On Friday I went a head a jumped in using the heavier weights and did it. Thankfully I didn't wake up in severe pain like I did the first time around. I'm getting stronger and bumping up my protein intake is doing the trick :) Thursday I start week two!

My thing with the weights is with the 3 pounds some of the moves are WAY too easy and I could easily bump it up and others I'm right where I should be. Think today I might pull out the 5 pounds so I can easily switch out when needed. I'm not waking up sore at all anymore...or is that how it's supposed to be as you get further into week one? I don't want to kill my muscles right before starting week two cause I know the intensity/difficulty goes up. Advice/Opinions?

Wow what a great price! I haven't bought anything heavier because I think it is outrageous to charge so much for weights. I hadn't considered online because of shipping charges but I will checkout Amazon for a similar deal!

I started with 5lb weights cause that's all I had and it was way too much for me. I was borderline injury with my arms so I got myself 3 pound weights. My upper body strength was nearly non existent lol I got my weights for really cheap off of Amazon. I paid less than $10 for the 3 pound set and free 2 day shipping with my prime membership. Much cheaper than going to the store cause that's about how much they charge for just one single weight. But hey if you're rocking the 8 pound weight and owning it then maybe it is time to push it and get 10 pounds ;) I'm back in the game today myself and about to do day 6 of week one.

Crose8709 - As you head into week 2, are you going to increase your weights in week 2? I have been using 8 lbs and feel this is pretty tough in a couple of exercises and can't imagine moving up to 10 lbs.

Well, I am proud to report.... I got motivated and completed day 3. I was going to take today as a rest day but knew that I really wanted Sat and Sun off ...so I did the workout and am glad I did!!

The boyfriend is home from work today. He managed to bruise his kidney somehow so if I can find 30 minutes to myself, uninterrupted I'm geared up to push out day 6 of week one. Feeling it in my legs today since I was able to push a little harder yesterday. Love seeing my body change and get stronger. It will never cease to amaze me what our bodies can do if we let them :) Keep up the good work girls!!

Today is day 3, week 1 for me. I am thinking today may be my REST day. My hamstrings are very sore. Forward folds feel so good to stretch them out!

How is everyone else doing? Keep it up!!

Way to go Holly! I'm feeling good enough to do the shred two days in a row finally. Also managed to do yesterday's shred without having to modify without the weights for the first time! Still on Week 1 and today will be day 5. I hear week 2 is toughie...lol

It is delayed onset muscle soreness. That wonderful soreness you get the day after a great workout. I went all out so the next day and three after, so did my arms lol. I've toned it down now.

This thread caught my eye. I have started this program a couple of times, but never finished it. I have been trying to add strength training back into my schedule, this DVD would be a good way to do it.

I think I will start it on Monday! I have cycling scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday)...if the weather is right.

I started the 30 Day Shred this week but I only do it every other day cause I'm also training for a 5k. AND since I was more out of shape as far as strength than I thought I was, I had SEVERE DOMS affecting my inner elbow and forearm. I could barely straighten my arm all the way. I added a protein shake right after the workout and right before bed on the days I do the shred and muscle recovery is a million times better. I think once my body adjusts I can do the shred everyday in addition to the 5k training. LOVING the shred. I took before pictures and can't wait to see the after results. :)
