I broke 10K but am not pleased. I had only about 2900 after work and had to go walk a couple of miles to make up to 10K. I really want to move more throughout the day and not rely on walking purposely for miles to make up the numbers.

I never realized it would be so hard to hit 10,000 steps a day. When I got home from work yesterday, I only had around 3500 steps. This was a hugh eye opening on how sedentary I am at work. I knew I didn't move a lot but REALLY that is not moving, period!! I ended up walking in place while watching tv last night to gain another 4,000 steps.

I am going to work much hard today at work to move from 3500 steps. Wish me luck!

** I don't wear my pedometer while I am working out because I want to program myself to be active during non workout times. So, although I ran 8 miles yesteday I wasn't very active the rest to the day according to the pedometer.

01/30 is my first day with the pedometer at my desk job. My goal is to walk around the exterior of the building several times. It is a short walk and I will probably look ridiculous but on the other hand, maybe I will inspire!

01/28/2012 - 9523. My goal was 10,000 and didn't quite get met the goal. But I was still impressed because I only left the house once for a quick stop at Walmart. So, most of the walking was done in my own home! I still don't get expect to make 10,000 steps during the week unless I make some conscience decision to walk around my building a few times. I have a desk job will very little mobility.

I am already wearing the pedometer for today - lets see if I can make 10,000 happen!

I just received my pedometer yesterday. Our company is sponsoring a healthy life change with our health insurance and everyone that registers to participate gets a free pedometer. I plan to wear mine everyday and see how much I walk (non exercising walking). I have a desk job so it will be helpful to see how I can change up my daily work activity to increase my steps.

Today is Saturday and I have only worn the pedometer for 1 hour and already at 1458 steps. Of course, I have been walking around doing household chores.
