I know she says to not to count calories while on her plan, but that's part of who I am so I need to keep doing it. I put all the ingredients (sans seasonings) into the recipe calculator and it came out to 127 calories each. On her page, it says 80 calories. Anyone know what's up with that???
FWIW...I entered the entire phase 1 meal plan into my tracker for the day and it came too 1800 calories - pretty much what I eat already, just more protein and less carbs :-)
Good idea about the quinoa. I was out of oatmeal but had steel cut oats (or some name like that). It's not flakes, but granules. I soaked it first in hot water and then added it to. Turned out good, added a nutty texture to the meatloaf.
I was the weird kid in our family that didnt like meatloaf either and I still shy away from it- but the turkey muffins are good. I love the cayenne. Dont remember cumin, but I dont have that in my cupboard so maybe i skipped it. Eyeing a package if ground turkey in the fridge that has been there forever (think its the roommates) because I should make more.
I can't wait to hear. Love quinoa. It is a staple in our house. That and couscous. Not sure what will happen in the recipe. Non-cook Kristin. Haven't done the muffins. Think it is a childhood fear of meatloaf. Everyone raves, so maybe I need to break out of this box. The BF would be happy:)
