My favorites are the chocolate and the carrot cake, definitely! I need to make some more protein bars tonight, actually. I haven't made them in a few weeks, and I miss having them as a snack during the day. :)
I love that you guys are experimenting with them! I have just made them as the recipe spells it out... but I'm curious now to try some of your ideas to change them up a little.

I froze half right from the get-go. Already ate 5 of the rest. Never noticed the turkey or pumpkin ones tasting funny, I keep them in the fridge for up to a week.

When I make the bars they get "wierd" tasting after a few days so I freeze what I dont eat after day 1. I liked the Carrot Cake protein bars also, I even used chocolate protein powder since thats all I had on hand and they were good.

Just for today

I finally made the carrot cake protein bars this morning. They turned out far better than I expected, especially after tasting the baby food-yuck! I am surprised they taste like carrot cake at all, but pretty pleased. One more week before my trip and these will be nice to have as snacks. Any left over get to go on the plane with me....

I made the chocolate bars last night. The only "berry" baby foods in the local store were the desserts with lots of sugar, so I went with one jar of prunes (the also compliment the chocolate) and one jar of mixed fruit which is mostly apple. They were the only fruits on the shelf that were not the dessert kind (mind you it was a small town store). Does anybody find that slightly frightening? Should we be feeding babies sugar with their fruit? Really?

Made the chocolate protein bars with banana baby food (instead of the berry) and added a cut up banana in it just for fun. Pretty darn good! ;) A great post-workout snack today when I ran out of protein powder and forgot my banana! ;)

I added walnuts to my last batch and OMG. *LOVE* I've been thinking of trying out different flavors of baby food as well. Lordly, though, I hope some marketing company doesn't think I had another kid and start sending me diaper samples and enfamil samples in the mail again! I actually got a baby food coupon last time I bought some, so Kroger's already hip to me buying baby food. *face/palm*

I've been experimenting with her Carrot Cake Protein Bars www.bodybuilding.com/fun/video-jamie

just adding a different baby-food and or spice combination. So far my favorite is sweet potatoes and dropping all spices but the cinnamon. I also am using Ideal Brown and Egg Beater Whites.
I've also tried banana babyfood without any spice and it is just okay...needs a little something...
I have a couple of other flavors I will try soon (Pear/Pineapple is one that seems promising).
Am using the Gerber NatureSelect brand too.
