I walked every day this week for 30+ minutes and lifted weights 3 times. Today I finished the first phase. Tomorrow is weigh in day. Even if the scale doesn't budge, I feel so energetic, my clothes are looser and one of my neighbors asked if I was losing weight! Love the feedback!

The future starts now.

Tuesday - walk - hills to the closed gym (boo) with lots of outside stairs, 40 min.

My Week 1 exercise comprised 300 minutes of walking with my two dogs, something we have all enjoyed, no matter whether the temperatures were high and the sun was shining, or if it was cold and frosty at the time we took our morning walks, even sometimes walked in drizzle.
Think I am beginning to love walking - never thought I'd be able to say that, cos I have osteoarthritis in my feet, knees, hips which has always deterred me before, but walking seemed the least painful form of exercise for me. I never realised just how good it was as a stress reliever either. My dogs really get excited when they see me putting on my walking shoes, which makes it feel more like a game than exersice.

Week of 9-25-to-10-1


Sunday- Got out for a 4Km walk today (40 mins). Feeling bloaty.

Monday- 6.3Km walk first thing this morning (60 mins), followed by the SP Beginner Challenge for resistance training. Additional 3Km (30 mins) walk with the dog in the evening.

Tues- Rest Day and date with my book (much needed)

Wed- {{stress}} didn't get out for a walk...or do anything for that matter.

Thurs- {{waited for Elliptical delivery}} it didn't come. Angry.

Fri- {{Elliptical delivered, but discovered my kids' bikes were stolen. MORE STRESS}} and no activity. boo!

Saturday- Short walk with dog and kids...not enough. Planned 90 mins on Elliptical.
