Beverly Lewis has written several. Some of them are triology so you just keep going with the story!

I read the prologue and first chapter. I think I'm going to like it. I like how she slips into "plain" speaking. I noticed that my kindle doesn't translate those words. I've never read any Amish books before, I'll have to start looking for them.

It is so funny that you guys are rippingthrough the book. I've only had time to read the prologue. But I'll get to it tonight a bit. Purpleliciousme I probably shouldn't tell you...but if you go to "go to" then you can see the end of the book. I'll say no more...

This is a fun book. I read it all in just a few days. I predicted the ending incorrectly. I think that I've enjoyed every Amish book I've ever read. One thing about reading on the Kindle is that I can't easily flip to the back of the book to read the ending and then go back to where I was at to read the rest of the story. It's better that way, but I do find that I get impatient at points in the story to find out what the end is going to be. :)

This is a fun read but I love all Amish books. I read this in one day. Although I predicted the ending it took some unexpected twists and turns to get there.

We may as well begin...

Prologue
Rumspringa (meaning "jumping around" and the Pennsylvania German term "Rond Springen, running around") generally refers to a period of adolescence for some members of the Amish. A sub sect of the Anabaptist Christian movement, that begins around the age of sixteen and ends when a youth chooses baptism within the Amish church or instead leaves the community. The vast majority choose baptism and remain in the church. Not all Amish use this, but in sects that do, Amish elders generally view this as a time for courtship and finding a spouse. Wenger Mennonites youth go through a period of rumspringa between ages 16 and 18. It is sometimes referred to as a period to "sow wild oats."
