Lynn I notice I'm having the same problem with food. I use to track eactly, but I'm finding now I am guesstimating. I am having a rough time getting back to where I was before vacation. (Just a few pounds).

I love this challenge! Keeps me on my toes to think about what I have to do each week and each day!

Good for you Nancy on your run! I know your not up to par yet so that is great. I have been having problems sleeping again too. I need to get back on my schedule and go to bed earlier. No matter what time I go to bed I still get up the same-8:30am.

Isn't it funny the relationships we have now with our families since we're adults? My Mom and sister are the exact same way!
Great that you know how to deal with your stress.

The challenge has 'sparked' me to keep up my exercise even though I'm super busy both at work and at home. I'm not doing quite so well with tracking my food though. - I gotta get my laptop working again!.

I put in some of my gardening as exercise, depending on how hard I work. Tonight, Jim, the grandsons and I planted petunias. I sat on the grass and helped James & Jon plant them - not much of an exercise. I did get in a run today and it felt good. I hope I'm recovering. I hate not getting any sleep.

I'm hoping to take some morning runs/walks while in Texas. We'll have to go early though because of the heat. I'll need it - I love my Mom and sister dearly, but it can get a bit stressful. Mom tends to hover (which I hate) and my sister is a bit opinionated. I'll have fun, but a run would help me handle them better.

Nancy, You have really had a season of sickness! Glad your feeling somewhat better. I put my gardening in as exercise.
Just do whatever you can as far as the challenge goes, while you are away. The challenge is just suppose to be fun--nothing serious. Better for you 6to enjoy yourself while your away. I know you love your walks and runs though. :-)

I got mine posted. I was disappointed in my activity for the week, but I'm still not feeling 100% yet and staying busy with the garden and a lot of family obligations. I'm going to Texas next Thursday for 4 days, so I'm not sure how I'll do then either. I hope to at least get in a few runs or walks.

I rewrote the instructions for this challenge so everything is up to date and sorry if their is any confusion. It will go smoothly now. Just be sure to add your activity from the 10th, 11th and 12th and today and continue from there.

On 'My Woman Challenge Pledge', Click on May 10th in the pull down menu.
Then click on 'change my start date'.

I see this changed my page there so I believe this is when we should start--May 10th. Sorry I didn't post the challenge earlier. Now we have to guestimate our activity for the last 4 days. (Sun-Today)

The Woman Challenge - May 10th - July 4th

I know May 10th was Sunday but this is a wonderful challenge that the SparkStars have done for 3 years now. Last year was the first year The 50+ maintainers participated.

We still have time to join and put our activity minutes in for this week, there is no rush.

Sign up is now and activity posting is going on now for this week.
Our Team Challenge will start on the 10th.
Our Team is called SparkStars.

What it is about:
On May 10th, thousands of women across the country will embark on an
eight-week physical activity challenge for better health.

The Woman Challenge encourages women to get at least 2 hours
and 30 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity each week.

This year it has changed and is not recorded in pedometer steps,
but in activity minutes.

How Do I Get Started?
1. Register – Register online now — it's quick and easy! Make sure your start date is MAY 10th.

2. Set a Goal – Set a weekly goal for how many minutes of
moderate- and vigorous-intensity activity you want to complete.
You can also set a goal for how many days of muscle-strengthening
activities you want to complete.

3. Enter Your Activities – After completing an activity, enter it
online. You can even keep track of what type of activity you did.
For example, walked to the store or biked 2 miles.

4. View Your Progress – Watch your progress throughout the
week as you move closer to meeting your goal. You can even
compare your progress from one week to the next using the
new progress graphs.

5. Earn Awards – Earn up to 6 new awards each week.

Yes Lynn, we should be able to see each others progress. This challenge is a little different this year so I will be learning as I go too.

I am just hoping we can start on the 17th. That is when it told me I can start when I registered. But actually the challenge started on Mothers day. Did all of you have it say you will start on the 17th?

Lynn, I found you and put you on the Sparkstar Team. You should get an e-mail.
Nancy I put your user name in and couldn't find you. Are you sure you are registered for the challenge and not just the tracker? Did you join a team for the WW at the Woman Challenge site? If so that may be why you're not showing up to put on the team. I think you can only belong to one team.

I just signed up and am register as RKSpicy from Arizona but I did not find how to join a team. So please add me to the SparkStar Team emoticon

Have now hit two goals! Over one year of not smoking and am below the 150lb mark! Just hit my third goal, under 140lbs! 03/27/09 hit the 50 pounds lost goal!

The Woman Challenge - May 10th - July 4th

I know May 10th was Sunday but this is a wonderful challenge that the SparkStars have done for 3 years now. Last year was the first year The 50+ maintainers participated.

We still have time to join and put our activity minutes in for this week, there is no rush.

Sign up is now and activity posting is going on now for this week.
Our Team Challenge will start on the 10th.
Our Team is called SparkStars.

What it is about:
On May 10th, thousands of women across the country will embark on an
eight-week physical activity challenge for better health.

The Woman Challenge encourages women to get at least 2 hours
and 30 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity each week.

This year it has changed and is not recorded in pedometer steps,
but in activity minutes.

How Do I Get Started?
1. Register – Register online now — it's quick and easy! Make sure your start date is MAY 10th.

2. Set a Goal – Set a weekly goal for how many minutes of
moderate- and vigorous-intensity activity you want to complete.
You can also set a goal for how many days of muscle-strengthening
activities you want to complete.

3. Enter Your Activities – After completing an activity, enter it
online. You can even keep track of what type of activity you did.
For example, walked to the store or biked 2 miles.

4. View Your Progress – Watch your progress throughout the
week as you move closer to meeting your goal. You can even
compare your progress from one week to the next using the
new progress graphs.

5. Earn Awards – Earn up to 6 new awards each week.
