I was on vacation for the last 2 weeks of June....no tracking, but we were camping and backpacking, so were very active, and the food was pretty easy to handle, at least until we got back to civilization, and dessert! But we had a great time.

Now I have to start a July thread, hope to get some folks to join that one!

Hope everything went well, Denia, and just rest for the week, that's how the healing takes place, right? Do you have someone who can pamper you?

Lilorita, great job on the exercise! Jump rope is a great way to get that heart rate up!

I ran in to work yesterday, and hiked home, then we had dinner at the neighbors....and a few too many glasses of wine! It was fun though, but now I'm tracking again today, since I blipped up over my goal weight. Not as much damage as I thought I'd see though, so I should be able to get back down quickly....time will tell!

Cross your fingers for me - surgery went well, but no exercise for a week. Also, no bending at the waist, cleaning house, or lifting. So, what the heck am I supposed to do?

Still hanging in under 125! I really enjoy not tracking....but I am trying to eat as if I were, so I can stabilize where I am.

Lilorita, good job on the exercising!

I'll be running in to work today, at least the storms have cleared, we had thunderstorms the past 2 days!

That's great Lilorita! Keep posting your workouts, and we'll keep cheering you on!

I'm on my 4th day of not tracking....I've been at 125 or below for the past 4 mornings! Feeling good....and going into vacation too,

I will warn you, since we'll be camping and possibly backpacking on vacation, I won't be able to check in regularly (if at all!) so don't think I've abandoned the goal, just enjoying life!

Yeah, listen to the doctor's advice after surgery! I'm sure you will...and I'm guessing you'll be seeing much better too!

Lilorita, nice workout plan. Keep posting your workouts, and we'll cheer you on!

I'm currently in a small group training class on Mon/Weds, which is resistance training/circuit training, and then I've been running to work Tues/Thurs to start building for my marathon training schedule. Our vacation this month will eat into that schedule, but it will be an active vacation (my boyfriend got a backpacking permit, and we have planned a hike up White Mountain, a 14er where we'll be) so I'm not worried about my fitness, just don't know how much "running" I'll be able to do! My plan is to do the tues/thurs runs and a long run on Sat or Sun, depending once we get back and I can build a routine.

On a good note for today, all my tracking has finally paid off! I've been steadily, but slowly dropping weight and today I'm finally back at my goal weight (scale said 124.2, moving average is 125 on the nose!) doing my happy dance!

Some of both - am currently sitting with my sis after surgery. Some internet access and she has an elliptical!

Unfortunately, I am having minor surgery (cataracts) Mon so will have to take it slow for a few.

Thanks KAYOTIC, I plan to do strength training three days a week then cardio three days a week, and have 1 rest day on sundays as that is the most difficult day to work out. Today I managed to do my cardio - I did the jumprope, for 10 minutes, and also walking for 30 minutes? I am hoping to do some step-ups, then I should be done for the day!

Travel is a double edged sword! It's fun and rewarding, but also makes maintaining more difficult with the routine changes, and strange environment! I'm hoping some planning ahead will help with my vacation at the end of the month (the last 2 weeks!), but it will be an active vacation, so I will not be tracking then. I'm sure I have some good behaviors ingrained that will help me make the best choices I can! Denia, do you travel this month or was it last month that you are regrouping from?

Lilorita, kudos to you on getting over the soda and sugar! You should pat yourself on the back! And getting into a workout routine can take some doing, so what is your plan? How often are you wanting to workout? What sorts of exercise are you doing? for how long do you do them? and don't forget the importance of stretching and rest days!

So far this month, I've been on track. I've tracked my food every day, and the scale is headed toward my goal weight (this morning I'm .4 above down from 2.4 at the start of the month) and I'm working out my workouts! Since I have the marathon at the end of September, I really need to start my training soon, and I have a good fitness base, but that didn't include much running, so I've been adding running in a few days a week. My plan will include a bit of cross training, since I have a habit of injuring myself when I only run....I'm sure the muscles, tendons and ligaments will appreciate that!

And I'm still looking for something to appreciate and feel joyful about each day....right now the flowers are in bloom, and I'm really enjoying how my yard looks, as well as watching my garden grow, now that it's better protected from the varmints!

I am sticking with my workouts, I didn't do so well last month, but I have started well this month, and I am determined to stick to it. I give myself a pat on the back for getting over my soda and sugar weakness. Good luck team

So, at the end of the month we'll be halfway through 2013, how time flies!

How are your goals coming along? Do you need to recommit, change it up, or pat yourself on the back?

Do you want to try something new? Or keep doing what's been working?

Post your goals for the month, and lets track them together!

For me, I am going to stick to what I've been doing as far as nutrition goes, which is to track when I'm above my goal weight, and not track when I'm below.

But I've been really irritable a lot lately...maybe it's the hormonal shifts of peri-menopause, but it's not fun! So I want to make a goal to find something joyful everyday, even if it's just a joke to bring a smile to my face....I think this will help lighten the mood a bit!
